Like to know who initiated the kick vote

I like to have the ability to identify the person who initiated a vote to kick and or the reason why. I really don’t like people who starts public games and kick people out for joining in. This is very rude and offensive. It’s a Public Game. If you require specific qualifications to join, then get out of public game and send invites in chat or community or clanmates. Don’t waste other player’s time. The reason I want this information is so that I can avoid playing games with those people. If the reason is justified or I have wronged them in the past, then fine, we can avoid each other. To enter a game and then immediately be removed is wrong and too easy. A lot of players just push yes when the kick vote come on screen even when there’s no reason given Leaving the targeted player wondering what happened. The Block feature can be use if there’s hostile exchanges. I would appreciate this ability so that I can avoid mean and malicious people.

You will not know specifically, but you can check you recent player list. The vote had to be unanimous for it to go through.

If I recall correctly the person who wants to kick must type a reason for the others who will vote to see. If I vote to kick it might say something like “sitting at the entry.” Or, “they are not helping with the bounties.”

I know some dweebs will kick you out if they do not like your gear and they are all about the meta. If they think you will not be able to help push in GRs they will kick regardless of your abilities.

I understand that you have to type in something, but that includes nonsenses or random buttons mashing and the other players just mindlessly agree. If they think I don’t have what its take, that’s a reason I can understand. Just type it out. It’s public games, at lease be courteous and give a reason.

VTK has always been controversial, despite the obvious flaws it’s the best system available for dealing with disruptive players.

Knowing who kicked you is not going to achieve anything positive. It will only serve those wanting to retaliate, which is exactly what will happen.

You joined a group of other players, you are at their mercy for the duration. If they decide they don’t want to play with you anymore that’s reason enough, and telling you why would likely lead to a heated argument, no doubt about it.

The simple fact that you felt the need to make a thread about this. tells me you’d not just take the info about who kicked you silently.

Sadly you’ll just have to suck it up and know that you are still awesome, and getting kicked by dummies is not a measuring stick you need to worry about.

As I stated, the Block feature should end the exchange. As for my reason, I just want the ability to avoid or to associate with them in the future. Yes as of now I’m sucking up, but I can still hope.

Adding a player to your block list just means you wont be able to see what they write in chat channels. It does not prevent you being joined to their games, or them to yours.

Not in D3. It can in WoW and other games though. When Blizz has different systems for diff games it causes player confusion and expectations.

Just repeating this for being 100% right. Whole post reply by Paladina is perfect. It is not often I see it that well stated.

For me I dont really care who initated it, but knowing the reason why would really help a lot, so that next time players know better what not to do and what to do.

Individuals likely do not express why they do things because of

  1. they are inarticulate and unable to explain their motives
  2. are immature and have no reasons
  3. would get banned if they said what they meant/wanted
  4. all of the above or in permutation

I voted to kick out players a few times and obviously 2 other players agreed with me. If you are going to play Public Bounties learn the rules.

No, you can’t be AFK for an extended amount of time
No, you can’t run a Whymsydale because you found a Rainbow gob. You save it for the end of the Bounties
No, you can’t do a Vault run during Bounties
No you can’t sit in town and wait
No you can’t do ubers while everyone else is doing Bounties.
No, you can’t join other players to do the same bounty because you’re too weak to do one yourself. Although if you ask, most people will allow it.

That’s just some of my pet peeves. And yes I will request for a kick-out if you do any of them.

I agree with every point that you made! I’ve never been kicked and I have voted to kick and initiated VTK on AFK’ers and Rifters (in bounty games).

Not mindlessly. They just want to get rid of the stupid popup so they automatically click on OK to make it go away.

If someone kick. Move on and let it go.
There are most likely a reason to why they kick.
May it be for friends or wrong build. Maybe they have a legit reason to why they kick. They obv dont show who started the votekick to avoid unnecessary arguments.
And shouldnt matter as the rest of the ppl agreed. Maybe they let u stay next time, u shouldnt take it personal.

In chat, I’ll ask “[Username] AFK?” and if they don’t answer I’ll initiate a kick. Most times lately though, others have initiated the kick after I’ve asked it.

I’m curious, was it a bounty game? or public GRs? or NRs?

why does it matter if they all agreed to kick you?

Or they don’t press any button on boss-fight dialog all minute.
As for me I’m agreed to kick only if reason window conatins “afk” or so. If reason windows have something stupid or unclear I always reject.

Reading the opening post it’s with almost certainty a GR game.

Before I vote to kick anyone, I say talk in party chat to see if there is a problem. But if they are just sitting in town and don’t respond to the chat, I vote to kick. If someone wants a carry, they should at the very least ask when the group gets created. If they know they are slow, just say so. As long as someone is honest and trying, I don’t mind them participating. Doesn’t always work though. I saw one guy sitting in town doing nothing for a while, so I ask in chat, “you just going to sit in town?” and he says yes. So I join him and say I will wait with you. And guess what, I was the one booted! I had to laugh.
