Someone know, or where I could find info on, the available sets that drop at level 60 for the classes? I’m trying out a non-reaper D3 for some time killing.
Diablo III Game Guide Items
Use the links for specific items to see what Sets are available. Then, use the tabs to see just Sets.
For example: If you click on Helms you’ll see all Helms available. If you then click on the Set tab you’ll see 40 Set Helms listed. The number in the upper right corner is the item Level. With Helms, the first Level 60 Set Helm would be Natalya’s Sight. Continue scrolling to see all Level 60 Set Helms.
If you then click on one of the Level 60 Set Helms it will open to that specific Set Helm page, which will list all the items in that Set.
Some Sets may not include Helms. So, you may need to check several item types to get them all.
The level 60 class sets are the vanilla sets: Immortal King, Natalya, Inna, Zunimassa, Tal Rasha. The expansion/DLC classes (Crusader, Necromancer) do not have level 60 sets.
List of Level 60 Sets. (Includes crafted Sets)
- Natalya’s Vengeance
- Tal Rasha’s Elements
- Sage’s Plight
- Immortal King’s Call
- Inna’s Mantra
- Zunimassa’s Haunt
- Demon’s Skin
- Blackthorne’s Battlegear
- Endless Walk
- Legacy of Nightmares
- Hallowed Defenders
- Manajuma’s Way
- Chantodo’s Resolve
- Shenlong’s Spirit
- Bul-Kathos’s Oath
- Danetta’s Hatred
The Crusader did not appear until Reaper of Souls was released. The Necromancer wasn’t available until after Reaper of Souls was released.
Thanks! That was very helpful.
Thanks for the extra sets to!
Unfortunately it seems that the base game doesn’t drop recipes.
No bounties, no odious collector goblins. The only recipe drop I’ve gotten is staff of herding.
Recipe’s do drop in Vanilla but they drop like any other legendary from any mob. Which makes them rarer since they can’t be targeted as you mentioned.
I’ve got a third account that has just the D3 base game which I’ve been trying for a vanilla build too. Something to consider is what complimentary legendaries will also drop at lvl60.
Barbs have most of the HOTA bracers and gavel to go with IK. And I believe Monk should be able to get Innas rocking pretty easily too… can’t say Nats spiked traps would be fun to play in a base game setting so I’d avoid DH.
With Tal Rasha meteor being so strong, I went with that.
With only the 2-piece bonus, Nilfur’s and Grand Vizier (and Squirt’s helping out), I’ve gotten up to one shotting everything in T6. So I think I’m done with the wizard for a while. Update: Got Mempo now as well, so yeah, godmode for T6. Lol
I did start a DH, but Nat’s isn’t my thing so I set it aside for now. I’ve just started a barb for IK.
It’s been interesting. Those who feel that D3’s loot/gold “rain” takes away some of the fun, the base D3 game might be worth a try. It’s very D2-like. Legendaries are few and far between. Gold has to be budgeted because it comes a lot slower; rerolling stats can bankrupt you quickly. And the paragon leveling is waaaaaay slower.
For anyone who’s curious about the base D3 experience:
- The afore mentioned less legendaries and gold.
- The blacksmith and jeweler can initially be upgraded to only level 10 due to needing DBs to go higher. However, both can eventually be upgraded to level 12. (See below).
- The level 10 blacksmith does not have the mass salvage buttons.

- The level 10 jeweler can only craft gems up to Star.
- The level 12 jeweler can only craft gems up to Flawless Imperial.
- Whimsyshire is the same as it is in RoS: normal drop rates.
- Just the original treasure goblin, none of the variants.
- Plan drops are very rare. I havent seen a single one yet. Staff of herding isn’t too bad because it can be targeted.
- No ancient or primal legendaries.
- The highest gem world drop is Flawless Square (outside Whimsyshire).
- The highest gem drop in Whimsyshire is Imperial (from objects like happy clouds, pinatas).
- In Whimsyshire, very rarely DBs and forgotten souls drop. The DBs can allow the blacksmith and jeweler to be fully upgraded to 12.
- Just the original 3 uber fights with the original 3 uber mats.
- Only three passive slots.
- No armory.
- 4 stash tabs max.
- And obviously nothing from adventure mode: legendary gems, blood shards, cube, rifts, primals, RORG, etc.
Some fun facts/oddities:
- Rerolling jewelry doesn’t require gems.
- Resplendent chests are fairly rare.
- I haven’t noticed a use for forgotten souls.
- Haven’t seen a Ramaladni’s yet. Not sure if they are in the game.
- Hellfire amulet plan can be bought from Squirt and taught to the jeweler; however, it cannot be crafted (needs RoS’s uber mats).
- Level 12 blacksmith can craft level >60 gear despite not being able to wear it. Rolling for level reduction would likely fix that.
- Picking up new Xmogs, including the unique ones, doesn’t give a pop up notification.
- You can create seasonal characters, but it’s not possible to complete the first chapter of the journey.
- There are shrines, but no Gloves of Worship.

- There is Flavor of Time, but no pylons.

- There are LoN rings, but no ancient items.
- Likely a bug. When rerolling gear and holding down Ctrl to see the ranges on primary stats/vitality, they often display lower ranges than they can actually roll. For example, it may show the upper limit as 276, but it can roll higher than that. When it does, the the displayed range also jumps up to a higher number.
There is one bummer with the base game though. The power creep is comparable to RoS when it comes to well geared characters (one shotting is possible in T6, just like in T16). However, there’s no where to go in the base game. At least there’s Grifts in RoS.
Only Level 70 items can be Ancient or Primal. Reduced Level Requirement doesn’t affect this because the item would still be Level 70.
Then he can craft Level 70 gear including Sage’s Journey? If so, he can craft Ancient or Primal items. There just wouldn’t be Ancient or Primal drops. (I’m guessing). Well, maybe not Primal because you won’t be able to unlock it. (No Greater Rifts).
Good point! Thanks! I’ll edit that above.
Yellows, yeah. But despite Sage’s being in the crafting list, they need bounty mats.
You also don’t get level 61 skills, right? Like the DH’s Vengeance was added with RoS, I believe.
What I mean, is I think the Ultimate Skills for classes aren’t available in Vanilla, like Vengeance, Wrath of Berserker, Epiphany, Archon and so on, because they were added in RoS.
As far as I remember, vanilla D3 allow craft recipes to drop, but it was abysmally low; perhaps it is as low as a Primal and given the scarce drop rate of items, you’d hardly see one at your usual game play. Also as far as I recall, crafted Legendary and Set items are not entirely useful unless you use a very specific build. You mainly use Blacksmith for mass crafting Rare grade items and pick a useful one between them in classic D3, rather than salvaging trash and crafting a side Set in the expansion pack.
Between those only Epiphany and Vengeance added within’ level 61 requirements, and Witch Doctor got Piranhas with RoS. The rest of them; Archon and Wrath of the Berserker were there from the very start of the game.
Thanks for clarifying, but I imagine other skills were added to the classes where the Ultimate was there from the beginning. I’m not all that familiar with the other classes but thanks for confirming that there are Level 61 skills.
Yes, I’d imagine Wiz would be a very heavy hitter. Might make one at some point.
I’ve been using this account to carry my vanilla account for most part so I can farm T6… hoping to drop an ancient Gavel that I can roll RLR on it… not sure I can pass a gift to a vanilla account but am keen to try that too.
But I started with Monk as Innas doesn’t require a specific weapon to be effective.
How have you found hunting set pieces? I’ve yet to find one. I think I’ve sunk about 20hrs into my Monk thus far.
The level 61 skills for the original 5 classes are…
- Barb - Avalanche
- Monk - Epiphany
- Wiz - Black Hole
- DH - Vengeance
- WD - Piranhas
Some classes got the short stick unfortunately.
The lower legendary drop rate combined with the sheer number of legendaries makes it really slow. It kind of reminds me why there was an auction house lol.
At the end of the campaign, be sure to reset the campaign before playing it again so that Diablo will drop his guaranteed legendary. Small help, but any help is welcome.
Though sanity-wise, it helps to know that when you see a green drop, there’s higher chance that it’s the one you’re looking for compared to RoS.
That would explain it! I’ll have to just be patient. I’ll edit that into my list above.
Not to derail the thread, but like I said, I got RoS about two months after it dropped. And as I recall, they upped drop rates shortly after RoS was released. So, while I didn’t have RoS yet, the first “legendary” I got after the drop rates was increased was the plan for Hallowed Defenders.
I remember it, because it allowed me to craft “Legendary” weapons for all the classes, which I thought was really cool.
Edit:
To clarify the timeline. I got Diablo 3 base game about 2 or 3 months before RoS and got RoS about 2 months after it released. So, there was around a 4 or 5 month stretch that I was playing the base game.
LOL. So I wasn’t being a wuss when I wished there was an AH too.
Oooh! I didn’t realise that Diablo drops a guaranteed legendary now. I’ve just been running high density areas.
Maybe for my sanity, I’ll do the campaign.
Thanks for the tip.
And every class has 3 passives that are level 61+ requirement, so wouldn’t be available. So no cheat death (Awareness) or Ambush for poor DH’s.
Good memory!
I forgot about the passives they introduced… and base D3 has only got 3 passive skill slots too.
It is a bit of a shame the drop rates at T6 in vanilla is as low as they are… I was expecting something more like when RoS was first released. I think I spent the first 3 months getting a T6 viable build going… got 1 or 2 legendaries each evening of play (2hrs on average) and I would have gotten my first set piece already.
Maybe I can cheese my way through by resetting the campaign progress and using this account to get my base game account back to Act 4 immediately afterwards. ![]()
As far as I remember, you still have Beckon Sail cloak to replicate Awareness with a longer inner cooldown.
