So new theory , in general lets say Ubers have chance to drop [ new ] mat , that’s ancient . This will give us 100% chance after , new way of farming ubers to get a crafted ancient hellfire amulet . just brainstorming But imo This would be nice addition to D3 .
Brainstorming? More like a brain-meltdown…
Nothing wrong with new ideas but at least put an effort in describing them.
excuse my ignorance , new item - means what they drop To craft hellfire has chance to be ancient , collecting the new ancient mats They drop gives us a 100% chance to craft a ancient hf amulet .
I think the more important thing to think about is that people don’t use this amulet any more because the extra passive they grant isn’t as powerful / useful as the power that other amulets offer.
I don’t know man, i think HF ring and amy should de reworked, so it gives a power or stats, that are desireable enough so people would actually be interested in farming Ubers. And IF that level of reward is ever implemented, Ubers should be a much greater challange, than now.
Indeed, some other options like Squirt’s Necklace are just way more useful. An extra passive can be nice but the benefit typically is nowhere near as useful. Add to that the amount of RNG the crafting of Hellfire Amulet has, it’s no surprise people no longer waste much time and effort to even trying.
Hellfire Amulet and Ring both need a redesign. They need to be more useful.
I could see sesonal items like etherial, soul stone, or even this sesons crucible powers preserved/brought back on HF ring and amy. Of course diled down so it doesn’t create unnecesary power creep.
The Hellfire Amulet at one time you could get one that you could really use. You can run the Ubers to be able to make 100 Amulets. You might be able to get 10% of them being ancients. What they should do is make it where you can take it to the cube and be able reforge it.
The options you have in D3 in some parts of the gameplay humors me at times. The most fun part is gearing when leveling up, after that it is a specific set trying to find the right rotation travelers pledge, squirts necklace sometimes an Ouroboros, the nemesis bracers, the obsidian ring, ring of royal grandeur, Captain Crimson’s 2-set for extra cooldown.
Making a LOD or LON build can be ways more fun though very much a harder stretch to make for most parts also thus taking ring slots away from the fun for the sake of multipliers, D3 gearing is just to lenient on the effort to get alot of static multipliers up to ridiculous amounts.
The game is to lenient towards this sort of gameplay due to the multipliers being overdone making it harder to introduce more items and different uniques into the game.
Though it is a fun experience on it’s own for awhile and more hours than many other games due to how good the combat can feel at times due to the death animation effects and ragdolls and the fluid shimmery level up explosion light IMHO. It’s like rush arcade experience almost all the way. T
he itemization looks way better in D4 I just wish that they would make a season in D3 without the sets and revamp the item system totally making it more akin to D4 just to try how the game would feel after D4 has released, for the fun of it, maybe have some intern in teaching some stuff in design by making a D3 seasonal project haha. Would require greater effort sure but still it would be fun and D4 would serve as great source material and inspiration, they could even make an expansion for D3 after that with interns working on that certain project and refurbish the game entirely, making Ubers in Diablo 3 a harder challenge whilst at it.
I mean as a method to bring more competence development towards the future workforce of D4 also aswell future projects, still creating more content that creates revenue for the company whilst at it.
I think Hellfire jewelry needs to have its own equipment slot because either the hellfire jewelry will be overshadowed by other jewelry or the Hellfire jewelry will make most of the jewelry obsolete.
Wouldn’t it be more efficient to farm keywardens and ubers instead of running bounties? (Haven’t done the calculation).
See that is what is wrong with the game. You have turn the game into a contest. If you not playing the game to be more efficient you are not playing it right.
When was the last time you played it the way Blizzard made the game to be Killing and exploring? OH wait that is right I have to be more efficient to be a true Diablo player.
OH that is right that it would take a few minutes out of your efficient Diablo Life.
Diablo III is a loot hunt game where the longer you’ve spent playing the game the rarer it is to get upgrades to your existing gear. With that being the case, why are you so surprised that a lot of people want to maximise the amount of loot obtained per time spent when that gives them the best chance of actually getting an upgrade?
I always kill and explore each and every minute of my Diablo 3 playing time. It’s impossible to play the game without doing so.
D3 is too convenient and small to be an explorer’s game.
It is perfect for increasing power and measuring gains via GRs.
Or, measuring exp and paragon per hour via speeds.
Or, keys per hour.
It has decent teamwork and group synergy, which can too be measured.
Overall, D3’s long term game is really about changing configs around and retrying and taking a measurement, actually or just perceived.
D3’s shortcoming is that there isn’t enough to change around. It needs more items, sets affixes, legendary effect combos with their unique play style personalities.
Another game mode or two, with separate leaderboards, where you can measure power, skill, etc can extend the fun and longevity.
Back to Hellfire and Ubers…
Redo torments, make ubers require more keys to access, mobs/elites should swarm you if you are too slow at killing the uber. T10-T16 drops new reagents for a stronger line of crafting recipes — expensive ones… where you have to complete several uber runs per crafting attempt.
Double passives for the hellfire amulet.
Imbue a legendary gem’s effect into a hellfire ring. So you get a 4th gem effect as an alternative to CoE, Compass Rose or F&R
Other predefined recipes may include jewelry with soul shard effects, or imbuing certain ethereal affixes/effects via the cube.
Uber mats for new crafted sets… there is so much to improve.
Imagine if D3 introduced hit recovery instead of having all the current meta builds, where successful block would trigger hit recovery aswell just like in Warhammer Vermintide or Darktide as those games atleast innovate upon hit recovery from D1 and D2. I think this would make the game feel more challenging and give a deeper layer of immersion and make items such as the blood brother sword more viable or shield blocking builds overall.
It would be easier to balance the torment content centered around challenging encounters rather than the challenge to find multpliers for your 150000% set bonuses, it is very artificial as a challenge model honestly all the grind leveling gems in GR as to put it on the few viable items there is for the content not fun in the long run. Rather I have deeper mechanics to build around and harder tactical situations if the build I make is bad, 16 torment difficulties does not do much in terms of difficulty in D3 as there is no hit recovery mechanic rather just skill spamming enemies and player characters with little interuption possibilities, the game just favors speedrunning too much instead of dense action packed tactical combat scenarios that run in a decent pace instead of hyper speeds. It feels like I am playing a racing car dreidel game at times playing D3.
No thanks, the game is renowned for its smooth gameplay and there are enough obstacles already.
Do you have a second account? Because your eu account shows that you barely play the game?
An Ubers revamp would make a good season theme someday
Yes I have had a second accounts which I forget the emails for a long time ago different for console and PC, I was not playing games at all for many years after the D3, played a couple of seasons recently and the game is much better now and has received very slow drip feed of content since release, still plenty enough hours on D3 to know my way around.
I do have carpal tunnel syndrome nowadays due working with heavy machinery in construction that creates strong vibration damaging some nerves and joints but I play fine with a controller without pain atleast, played both on console and PC though I favor PC, can’t create much build diversities as I have to prioritize builds that goes easy on the joints you know as I need a controller support to play more active you know I don’t have a console anymore D4 will release controller support for PC. D3 is smooth as butter for most parts, but just can’t handle everything it tries to deliver due to running at too fast speed overall, say frozen bolas for an example, they just make the server crash for every player in the game if you have too fast attack speeds, aswell as some crusader builds. I don’t dislike the game per say, it is the itemization and speed run emphasize that grow stale for the game. I also somewhat dislike the overall ungrounded feeling of attacks not connecting much to as how the weapon you are wearing looks in D3. D4 is much better in design direction in all aspects honestly for me atleast.
Though D3 is a fun arcadey thrillride though it is not a game I can stand much more of, sunken maybe 580 hours total into the game in total over the years got my moneys worth finished all the content can’t stand another season. I can say there is alot I like with the game but that is mostly on how good the combat feels in terms of the death animations honestly haha especially the larger enemies when they ragdoll and die of different effects. I am not the biggest fan at all as for the itemization which I think D4 is doing much better aswell looks great, I never though the itemization looked great in D3 in same kind of sense. I play D3 like an arcade game now and the if the season feel fun, I play in PTR sometimes to see what’s new just to be reminded to why I am quiting D3 in the first place. WHich is the wierd paragon meta but also the GR gem leveling processes and caldesan blessing which I just can’t stand anymore it is just a chore and not intresting as mechanic, simply just a stat multiplier you ad by item finding alot repeating GR alot etc, I prefer the D4 paragon boards over D3 system, because you have to use your heart and brain more. All I can say D4 does it right to stray from the narrow pathways of D3 itemization creating it’s own narrative and larger scope.
How the itemization in D3 works just does not work for me after having done it a couple of times, I am sure D4 will bring more longeviety in terms of the loot play for me personally no doubt in mind also the controller support for pc is much appreciated. I have only played D3 as not many other games has been worth playing since the release of D3 for honestly, I am dead tired of playing D2 as it was my childhood hobby that I found as flawed game as a child and still see it now as such in terms of endgame and some mechanics, they try to adress those flaws as of recent with sunder charms for an example with D2R though still a no go for me, I bought it to give support to the company as it provided me many hours of enjoyment when young. I also found the endgame of D2 super flawed as a child as an adult, D4 just simply adresses most of the issues I had with D2 but also bring something new, the great looking death animation system inspired by D3 but it is even better in D4, better procedural generation and loot play overall, so I am very happy with what I am getting overall, still hit recovery makes games look better, Darktide or Vermintide for an example would look bad without it and it borrows these hit recovery mechanics and innovate from the old and gold games of yore, like Doom, hexen and Diablo etc. I just wish more could see what hit recovery can do for the looks of the game instead of cooldown abilities and aoe, as it works like a dodge rate, block rate, crit rate mechanic kinda so it works well in tandem with those affixes in many different way in Diablo. I don’t mind that hit rate was removed though I see no need for it as it doesn’t make a single animation look better.
Oh. Sorry to hear that. Hope the best for you. That you may recover or at least not get worse.
I play solo and I don’t experience lag in eu (not even playing impale with frozen bolas) apart from rare hiccups.
