It depends. If it is a power that affects one of your skills, no. For example - Sacred Harvester (WD dagger) increases number of Soul Harvest stacks, so that one won’t (since followers don’t have that skill). Items like Oculus Ring, with a stand alone ability, do work on your followers, however.

Yes it will applied to follower as well. As long as it isn’t a class specific skill.

YW. Also, forgot to mention, set items don’t work on followers, either. The Endless Walk jewelry set, for example (Compass Rose & Travelers Pledge). They still get the basic stats of the item but not the legendary power listed. Legendary gems don’t work either. A good combo you might try out if you use the Templar - give him a Thunderfury sword and a Wyrdward ring. Thunderfury has chance to apply lightning and Wyrdward procs off lightning for a chance to stun enemies.
Some of the newer legendary’s also have been disabled for follower’s. for example - ‘The Executioner’
I do not know if anyone has made a list up of what works with followers and what does not?
A good amulet for example, for any follower is 'Ess of Johan, because it will randomly group enemies. There’s more. If your follower has ‘Cannot die’ as their rune, you can equip them with the Unity ring and as long as you are also wearing it, then it will give you 50% extra damage reduction.
Maybe someone knows if there is a list? sorry but I have not seen one.
I haven’t looked for one, but there probably is a list somewhere out there. Good call on the Ess of Johan, I forgot to mention that one as probably being one of the best for followers. Also the Unity trick.

None of us remember everything. You are a really knowledgeable player. I apologise, I should have said I am adding to yours which I was. I usually do give credit where it’s due but I was only on quickly.
I was going to add the ice dagger and shield for the templar, but even now the names have slipped my mind haha.

Overwhelming Desire is also a good follower amulet. It has a chance to charm enemies and then they take extra damage. Ess of Johan counts as a knockback when it triggers so if you are relying on CC effects, your follower wearing Ess of Johan can accidentally trigger CC resistance at inopportune moments.
Oculus Ring is standard BiS ring for each follower as well as their respective immortality token. The best 2nd ring is usually Unity or Wyrdward. Wyrdward triggers off of lightning damage so Thunderfury is a natural fit since it always rolls lightning damage. You can roll the damage type on any weapon to lightning and it will proc Wyrdward in the follower’s hands since their skills don’t overide a weapon’s damage type how your character’s skills do. I usually equip a Sultan of the Blinding Sands on the Enchantress since it has a good chance to blind and if it has lightning damage it has a good chance at proccing Wyrdward.
Legendary gems works on follower, problem is that the vast majority is useless since the dmg of the follower is insignificant respect your dps BUT there are at least 2 gems that can boost a bit your dmg indirectly : Gem of Efficacious Toxin and Iceblink. We tested these 2 and they DO work, dunno if is intended or not but they work just fine, same for the Wreath of Lightning, we tested only these 3 tho.
