I wanted to add this to another thread of mine but double posting is not allowed so I have to put it in a new thread:
I just realized that a lof of legendaries were changed in the past, I have primal a Demon’s Demise, Odyssey’s End, a good HPS etc. They are all worthless except some niche uses like followers or so? There is no way of updating them, right?

I mean yeah, it’s sad, but wasn’t meant as a complaint. I’m just asking these things because I don’t wanna end up like the poor fella in the other thread who ended up transforming all his gear into primals without knowing he can only wear one.
That other player appears to have only one Class that plays one build. If you have more than one Class/Build, converting useless Primals to ashes can be worthwhile.
You can then have one crafted Primal for each build.
Some aren’t useless. I know legacy Cluckeye will still have some use on DH if they want to combine the Clucks with Rapid Fire and Strongarm bracers (the chickens fired from cluckeye proc strongarms, and they will fire out very fast with something like rapid fire). But, idk anyone who really plays such a thing or cares that it even exists, despite being a real thing, so.
Ye, thanks, so I take most of them are trash these days and I convert them to crafting materials - at least after I checked that there is no niche use case for them that I might be interested in.

Yes, most legacy items are trash. Legacy Etched Sigil was still useful until they changed Tal Rasha and nerfed Deathwish.
I kept a couple as Collector’s items.
Yah I still use my Legacy Etched Sigil. And my 2 Socket Manticore crossbow looks good with the scoundrel.
The legacy puzzle rings are fun. Equip one on you and one on follower, guaranteed 2 gobs every 15 min, you can set watch by it. I could equip some lifesteal swords on my barb and 9% IAS items.
Its fun, but not game changing.
Anyone feeling nostalgic, can look at the gear on this character and the Enchantress.

It depends from that about which items we are talking. Some legacy items are intersting such as Etched Sigil. Some useless for example Ninth Cirri Satchell.
Oh yeah I was looking through my stuff I saw the old barb weapon Remorseless, it used to have Hammer of Ancients has 30% chance to summon an Ancient for 20 seconds, which stacked with your Ancients so you could have 6 Ancients it was pretty cool. Can you imagine barb “pet” build with LoD gem, tasker and theo, enforcer and stuff
No item is useless if it’s the best you have…

Oh yeah There’s also things like legacy magefist/frostburn for when you want even more 20% element damage works well with stone of jordan
