Left mouse button issue

I seem to be having an issue with my keybindings. I am running a Demon Hunter with the GoD set, with left mouse set to Hungering Arrow, and right mouse set to Strafe. When I click the right mouse, nothing happens except my DH moves to the mouse. the only way I can get hungering arrow to fire is if I hold down the shift key and then press left mouse. Have I somehow messed up my keybindings? I have gone into Options then key bindings, and hit the Defaults button thinking it would reset everything but it still does not fire. What have I messed up?
Thanks

Did you restart the game after resetting your key bindings? If not, then try that.

As far as I know, the left mouse bottom is the “move” button as wel which means you have to use force stop or actually click on a mob for the skill to “shoot”.

Simple work around = I have Hungering Arrow set as the D key (I use A S D F instead of 1 2 3 4). I have Animal Companion as left mouse button.

What Grim said above. Because it doubles for move clicks, you either have to actually target something, or force stand for “directional fire”.

I want to do this because the constant clicking is not fun for my cheap mouse. If you bind it to a key like that isn’t the constant spamming of the key a pain as well?

No. Just pressing with my index finger every couple of seconds to build up stacks.

If you want to surely fire the skill, you have to use Force Attack, i.e. SHIFT+LMB
You have to press the keyboard anyway. Mapping the skill to a key, no SHIFT and LMD are needed.

In fact, I bind HA to Space Bar.

Yeah the lack of force attack helps as well.

So think the problem is I was trying it with like constant pressing instead of every few seconds. That button mashing was a pain and doing it a bit less helps.

I just occasionally use my bound ` key for force stand still and toggle it while rolling the mouse wheel. I have force move bound to the wheel, and it free spins. But some builds work better using the LMB to click and move, so it depends on what I’m doing. Most of my DH builds I stutter step anyway, IE, using force stand still to force the primary fire while clicking the LMB, rather than target an enemy to fire.

Everyone plays it differently, its what works for you that matters, might have to experiment a bit.

Game on.
