Last Blizzcon Nevalistis tried to warn us against over hype in advanced…
Well as much as she was allowed to… but still…
But no word of warning this time. Hype might be real!

I’ll just wait and see with blizzcon before I even think about getting on any hype.

They might be, but I’m trying not to get too excited. I just read a lot about Overwatch 2 being revealed this year and I’m not sure that they’re going to announce both big ticket items this year. (D4 and OW2). Hopefully we get a D2 remaster at minimum.

Last year people got hyped over the forges video. A not insignificant number of people expected something like D4. Then two weeks before Blizzcon, Blizzard tried to manage expectations.
Blizzard didn’t do a forges video this year.
No need to manage expectations. There are none.

I wouldn’t be surprised if these “leaks” were intentional.
Blizzard making zero publicity only to underhandedly create hype in the lead up with these “leaks”.

I am confused whether there are tons of leaks or the same one repeated many times…
This is how business has worked for years…
You actually thought leaks were unintentional at one point?
Please…never once did I entertain that idea.
The rule of thumb with leaks is treat them with grains of salt in every respect.

Now come on there have been plenty of threads of people building the hype train with the constant D4 and D2 remaster are going to be announced at Blizzcon and the OP is trying to start up another hype
Only so called leaks I have seen has come from streamers, wishful thinking on their part and a way to get people to come to their stream
Leprechauns, pixies and unicorns might be real too but I won’t believe it until I see one. It’s the same for the release rumours.

Wait until we get an announcement “Diablo 4 iWatch” (you know, a little pun with “4” and “for” …) at BlizzCon.
I mean, don’t we all have watches? And what could be more epic and glorious than slaying demons on a 2x2inch display, using your thumb for 100% accuracy? Nothing! That would be totally awesome!

The forges video was a hype video. Blizzard created hype last year, and when Blizzcon drew near and people were hyped about D4, Blizzard knew they were partly responsible for that. Thats why they issued a statement, to try to put out some of the fires they started and brace people for disappointment.
There was no forges video this year or anything like it. If people are disappointed with this years Blizzcon, then they can’t really complain about being mislead. The worst they can say is “another year of nothing”.
I saw the forges are hot video and they never game a timeline as to when it would be released and it all had to do with diablo and nothing to do with the PC market
and then when it was released 5 mins after announcing it you all get mad about it and claim nothing has been done about it
People complain that Blizzard doesn’t tell you anything and then when they tell you what they are working on you complain that it wasn’t released at the same time as it was announced that they are working on it
Such a shame we don’t live in a world where you can just snap your fingers and it’s all done
And as I recall There was nothing mentioned about a D4 in it and that was all the players getting on the hype train and started believing there own dreams so Blizzard had to come in and get you to tone it down
Ok so you are conveniently ignoring something very important here.
Remember the context into which the forges video was launched. For years Diablo fans had NOTHING. Every Blizzcon we got nothing. We watched as every other Blizzard IP got their toys and we stood at the back of the room like the red headed stepchildren we were. Even WoW HS and OW fans knew we were being left out. Do you remember that at all?
For years all people were asking for on these boards was D4 and the D2 remaster. “What is your wishlist for D4” and all sorts of varients on that. “Should D2 remaster have QOL changes” and all sorts of varients on that. Does that ring any bells? The wait only increased the desire to get something… anything. Because thats how human being are.
So then the forges video came out, to an audience with an intense thirst thats been building for YEARS. And when Brandy smiled when she said “we may have some things to show you later this year” then yes, many people thought it meant D4.
OF. COURSE. THEY. WOULD.
That video did not exisrt in a vacuum, so stop pretending it did and stop playing dumb.
