Feeling darn good right now folks. GZ to all of us.
Tbh I kinda feel bad for the devs and Nev at this point. They clearly put in a lot of effort to bring this considering their cycle, limited resources, and upper management apathy.
Call it growing pains for now since they seem willing to do better, but I think we can also do better to work with them in the future. Iāll assume some of this to be remedied with Nevās upcoming blog post on balance philosophy.
But for now, yay for Lamentation buff. Speed 100s should be doable at my paragon now (1200).
Certainly really good news. Finally Wastes will be playable and enjoyable for all, I hope. I may even give it a whirl before Dec 12.
Also, Free, amigo, I believe that a āThank you From barb communityā thread is due, nope, not joking.
Congrats guys, time to spin!!
This new dev is definitely troller of trolls
Free, thank you very much for such a great job! I really appreciate the way, how you get it done. From Russia with love and respect:)
since years, this could be the first season barbs can kick some ***
It is a small buff for devs, but a big day for barbarians. For the first time, a competetive build in group play.
The 1st in the last 4 years.
Where is the troll guy now? I want to see his/her face in person
Iām glad about the outcome. I thought the ww/rend build needed a compromise decrease to the magnitude of the buff. I advocated in the PTR feedback forum and in general discussion for a flat 100% rend damage affix. Please read the second post in the megathread if you do not believe me. Lamentation now has 100%-150%.
Since the megathread seems to be temporarily locked going on many days now, I quote below what I actually wrote:
- "I wonder if a reduction in the rend damage affix to a flat 100% would be better than removing the rend damage altogether. It makes sense to me why the extent of the barb buff was reduced but I wonder if it was a bit too extensive. "
There is a certain irony in this situation.
Hereās a song for dealing with scary monstersā¦
Here Iāll give you a slap on the back for your contribution .
Now that you are done helping the Barbarian class, I hear the Crusaders and Monks are in need a ton of help and they are both a very unbalanced lot and in need some of your helpful tables!
Just to show you there is hardly any hard feelings, I will let you use my very concise and totally beautiful Graphs I made just for such an occasion.
heck no!
im so glad they gave us 150 % back.
And we got it back because the barb community is so wholesome and voiced concerns again and again, also put plenty effort into providing convincing feedback. please dont forget we needed to overcome the table trolls that made it extra hard for us. trolls editing every their wrong facts posts to not look bad now.
if there is no other bugged interaction with ww items, its going to be the greatest season ive had in a long time. really looking forward to playing next friday . was able to hype up 2 to of my good mates that turned their backs to d3. i was like āits going to be spin to winā and they were like āhell yeah!ā xD
lets not forget we have a couple other build enabling items. that seismic slam build looks so great
now guys, please stop to hate at blizzard, especially at the cm who only does her job. in the end they gave us something we really wanted and we could have gotten off into season 19 far worse without any buff to lamentation.
i would like to thank our barb community for what we are getting in season 19, there are so many to name and there is not enough room.
Let me applaud to free, ulma, prokahn, meteorblade and so many more who put so much effort into providing feedback and voicing concerns. thanks! im sorry, im sure i missed a lot of names.
oh, and what would be a decent barb post without a meme
āi dont always log in to forums, but when i do, i flag micros troll postsā
have a good day guys!
Yeah, I donāt think anyone here wants to hear your self-promotion. Take it somewhere else.
It was needed (for WW/Rend) yes especially in regard to other classes power, but I see one big problem with it.
Itās by far the best build for barbs now. All the other changes seem so irrelevant compared to this (and there were some changes as you may have noticedā¦)
Still much work to be done in the futureā¦
Gratz, and thanks for bringing this to the devās attention. Hope you all have a great season this time.
200% was fine.
The reason people have problem with you is that you obviously donāt play the game at a high level and have little idea of what actually happeed if you joined a high level GR speed group with a dps barb. Everyone just leaves. Now barbs have a chance but we have to see how the dust settles.
The main high level GR speed groups in patch 2.6.6 are :
- Rats (2 Rat Necros, zDPS necro, zDPS barb)
- Wizard DPS led-groups
5 classes are largely excluded as DPS in the common speed group metas in the prior patch.
For high GR clear group in patch 2.6.6, the primary/most common composition was necromancer, wizard, zDPS monk and zDPS barb. When was the last time you heard āLooking for group need a crusaderā in any capacity whatsoever?
As I promised, next season:
I am giving up the fight. For the first time since Vanilla disappeared, it is time to Spin and Win.
What weapon set up are people recommending? Crimsons or straight Wastes and Lamentation worn?
S19 is actually looking really good. But man, it was a wild and worrisome ride to get hereā¦
I think bazooka nerf is the last unchecked box to really shake up the game.
