Hello, is it possible to transition into ssf after completing the seasonal journey? If so does one need to redo the seasonal journey again within the SSF mode or does it carry over?
It would make no sense to be able to transition into SSF.
The whole point of SSF, is you do everything solo. Leveling. Seasonal Journey objectives. Bounties. GRs. Everything.
Maybe the seasonal journey completion will count for your whole account. Like today you can mix and match hardcore and softcore.
I hope so, i would not want to redo it again.
It’s not like you have to do more than the first 4 steps for the free set if that’s the case at most anyway, which is maybe 20 mins of things you wouldn’t do regardless.
I want to srart fresh with my friends grouped up. Later on when we are all geared up, we tend to go solo. So then i wanted to partake in SSF, but if i have to redo the whole thing again, i might just stay in non SSF.
Why would you though? If you’ve already done the journey once even if you could do it again it won’t give you anything of value outside the free set that you get for step 2-3-4.
It’s not likely you will need to do the season journey again considering if someone completes the season journey in seasonal SC, it’s done in seasonal HC too. The seasonal journey was coded from the point of view of the entire account… but we’ll have to wait till PTR starts and someone manages to test this.
But I would have thought you’d want the option to do the season journey again in SSF… if only to get your free set. If you use your free set up when in group play, your SSF experience will be extra slow.
In that case you could always just compare yourself with the SSF boards on level footing, the paragon cap (Some people are saying the cap is only for SSF) it would be the same thing other than not showing on the actual boards and just leveling in groups doesn’t add any advantage like real group play does.
The way I read it is that SSF is going to be its own realm. So you get nothing from any other mode, no gold, no items, no stash spaces. You start from scratch in SSF, and you will not be able to group for anything, although you will be able to share between your own alts. The bigger problem is, they added a new realm, but no new character slots. So character slots will be at a premium in season 29, between regular season, hardcore season, SSF, and hardcore SSF.
You’re right. I think 2 extra character slots would be in order.
I was under the impression at the time of that writing that the alter was going to be part os season 29.
