Kanai Lvl removal for Primal Ancient Weapon lowered DPS stat

Cathan Level removal for Primal Ancient Weapon reduced its’ DPS. Playing Harcdore Seasonal, lost a high end character, so created new Barb. I added sockets to an ethereal plus my Primal Ancient Little Rogue. I successfully reduced the ethereal weapon to lvl 1 via Kanai cubing Gem of Ease. Tried the same recipe with Little Rogue…end result being the DPS is 431.2
The stats are maxed, and it shows on my character screen…my damage however reflects the weapon DPS, which is actually LOWER than a RARE lvl 70 crafted sword.

The reason your weapon now has 431.2 damage is because you re-rolled the elemental damage into vitality.

9. My Weapon Went from 2000+ DPS to 400
   Go back to the mystic and enchant the +xxxx-xxxx element damage back onto the weapon and NEVER roll this affix off ever again (unless you want to be zdps). The +xxxx-xxxx elemental damage is a main component for the damage of the weapon.

Reroll the VIT back into elemental damage and you’ll have a 2K+ damage weapon again.
