Kanai Cube extracted powers counter error

I’ve just noticed my Level 40 Seasonal Cubist counter at 39/40 but I only have 13 powers (I think) extracted atm. The Level 20 counter is 20/20 and it’s marked as done.

I bet you’ve extracted some Powers that are from items your Character cannot equip. Any Class can extract any Power from a Legendary item. But, not all Classes can equip all of those Powers.

So, you’ve extracted 39 Legendary Powers. But, your current Character can only equip 13 of them. The rest are only available to other Classes.

This is NOT a bug.


You can tell whether a Power has been extracted or not, by looking at the bullet next to the Power. It will also tell you if you cannot extract its Power. If it doesn’t have a Power, there’s nothing to extract. (See example below)

Open bullet = Power has not been extracted.
Solid yellow bullet = Power has been extracted.
Solid orange bullet = Power cannot be extracted.

On my baby barb on Europe, my first power extraction counted for 3… :slight_smile:

Edit : and so did the 2nd one. :slight_smile:

I’m out of legendaries to extract power from… will update later if needed.

My bad. I think it is  bugged.

I’m not very far along. On the Americas Region I’ve only extracted 4 Legendary Powers. All of them can be equipped by my Demon Hunter.

  1. Demon Machine
  2. Leoric’s Crown
  3. Pox Faulds
  4. Haunt of Vaxo

Yet, when I check my Season Journey, it’s showing I’ve extracted 12/20 for the Level 20 Season Cubist Objective. It’s showing 12/40 for the Level 40 Season Cubist Objective.

Yes, I forgot to mention I have only one character SSF on Americas Region. Looks like a bug :sweat_smile:

@Perusoe: same… 4 extractions but showing as 12. Definitely looks like it’s counting each extraction three times.

Oh well… not a big deal… I usually extract more than 40 powers by the time I complete Guardian anyway.

I have the same issue. I extracted 14 powers but got the Guardian achievement for getting 40.

Same for me. I got 14 extracted this morning and got the Guardian Objective marked as complete.

I don’t even have the Powers extracted for my build yet. Well…   except for Dawn.

Hey all,

A bit of a bump, but are you all seeing this in SSF only? If so, Bliz is aware of this issue and is looking into it.

For me, yes… that was in SSF. I solved the issue by extracting the powers of 14 items (a lot more than 14 actually).

I also saw the message from FilthieRich… and wondered why he had posted that in GD instead of here, in Bug Report. His list is awfully short too – is that all that Blizz is prepared to recognize as bugs in S29 ?

Yes. SSF.

But, that “Known Issue” wasn’t listed at the time I got credit for the Objectives.

Me too.

I can’t speak exactly for Bliz, but often, acknowledged bugs are those that have made it past the early stages in the process. For example (hypothetically), they were reproducible internally and thus passed on to the internal ticketing phase.

After that, it just comes down to which they choose to acknowledge publically, which who knows how they choose those.
