Just how powerful is Duriel?
There’s little info within the lore that gives us an idea regarding how powerful Duriel is (at least beyond him being a Lesser Evil); that may change with Diablo 4 though. That said, he was definitely a tough boss to battle against in Diablo 2.

Presumably a heavy hitter, but not quite having the gout of Azmodan or Belial. Through gameplay one can assume he packs a much stronger punch than his sister. Ultimately, whatever his martial prowess is - which is probably quite decent even if it wouldn’t match a prime evil - he’s never been noted for brains where all the other evils have to some extent or another.
