With all the colorful explosions, magenta beams, bright green pools of poison and every other cartoonish effect that D3 has, it’s the circles that break immersion for you? I don’t mean to be disparaging, I’m just genuinely surprised.

People complained about the circles not being terribly useful, and I generally tend to ignore them to be quite honest, but I definitely don’t mind what they look like…

I understand your cynicism but, yes, the brightly colored randomly appearing circles all around me do break my immersion.

In the case of all the other things you mentioned, they appear either because of something I’ve cast or because of something the environment has thrown at me.

The triune circles are randomly generated and have no obvious source and so do not feel organic to the environment.

Imagine if you were playing, I don’t know, Resident Evil, except every time you entered a room with zombies, rainbows would appear in the room and zip across the screen randomly.

That’s basically how this feels.

Most in our clan just ignore the circles. They don’t improve the game,

You’re a month too late. PTR Feedback was full of criticism of the theme. Literally the only part of which they took notice of was about changing the circle colours for colour-blind players.

Honestly, if it is that game breaking for you, just don’t play until the season ends. It really is a super meh season theme so you aren’t missing anything (other than the neat new/reworked items)

I like the arcane power circle. It’s the same field color as all the other arcane power sources the Wizard uses. It’s thematic in two senses.

As a leapquake barb i got to say i do like the circles, they are usually in a spot i can easily get to, and when a purple circle overlaps an oculous ring, its a wonderful thing.

As much as I hated the new theme at the beginning I find it quite useful on my UE CC Multishot DH, especially on highier GRs…

I also have not been drawn to play this season. I enjoyed the last two.
Like others, I pretty much ignore the circles but they don’t particularly bother me.

The real reason I don’t want to do this season is because there are no rewards. No wings, no pets. Yes, it’s fun to start from zero and build up cool gear, but I also need an incentive beyond that.

For now, I’m having fun playing non-season. We’ll see next time.

Well their goal was to make theme affecting everyone not like it was with rorg and lon perma buff.

They had average idea and maybe they were just lazy.

Off OP’s topic but I believe this season was one of the biggest step backwards since I have started. Keep in mind that I only started this game a few years ago but from then to now I’ve enjoyed pretty much every season In one form or another until the point of hitting the brick wall, which happens to every game.

There’s just nothing enticing or worthwhile. I actually want to play but I turn the game on and play a few GR’ or something and literally ask myself “what’s the point?”. As op stated I don’t hate the game or blizzard at all and I’ll surely be back but at the end of the day this season was a failure and not fun.

What was the point of this thread? Just pointless whining that pollutes general discussion more?

Complaining based 100% on your personal preference.

Totally agree with Pja here, and before that, why tf are you playing this game if immersion is some super important element to you? Go play other games that feature more immersive content instead of complaining about one which doesn’t specialize in that dept. You are wasting your time and a forum thread with this.

LOL I think you should come earlier and you would see pretty many posts saying similar things.

I think you can try this:
In video settings there is an option to reduce special effects and save GPU cost. Turn it on. You’ll still see the annoying rings but all the other special effects will be dimmer. Personally I feel better with it on.

They don`t bother me any and they are a lot of help. They increased my grs 5 lvls.

They are nothing more than circles of power, resource cost reduction and cooldown reduction that are similar to the circles of power from the ring that the follower wears. I only bother about using them if I can. I don’t go out of my way to use them. More so if I am not wanting to get the character killed.

Well it did not ruin it for me, I am playing like crazy :stuck_out_tongue:

What is really going to ruin the game is a new hack so hard core players come back to life after they die. I saw it happen and told the person to take it off. They did but what is to prevent them from using it for solo play.

I’m assuming this is a console ‘hack’? Consoles are basically the wild west anyways with their rings with 3 sockets and all that other junk. People complain about D3 on PC being online only, but if it prevents hacks like that I have no problem with it.
