It's 2021 not 2012. Time for changes

I certainly do hope they have an “original game” mode for those of us who may not like whatever changes do come to the game, that way everyone gets what they are expecting from the game. Yes it splits the community, but with everyone in the world being tied together, it’s not so bad.

Get to the point, you want personal loot because you think it’s your ticket to lots of good loot in as short a time as possible, then after that, the next demand is loot rate increases when you find out that you won’t be getting tons of goodie goodies.

@Swiftkitten yes i appreciate the advice on post etiquette. I agree with not doing alot of balance changes yet. However, I do hope they fix broken old things such as druid wolf form attacking slower when it is supposed to be faster.

Not every game has to be the same, the changes you demand constantly are all things that can be found in the very worst of free to play MMO’s, this is where, either consciously or subconsciously, these demands come from.

If you got your wishes, which you won’t, but if you did, you’d play the game for 2 hours, then put it down and install something else, leaving us with a game you wrecked.

@boutus nope never said personal loot. However it is a good argument that people will get their loot and not have to worry about thieves in multiplayer.

for this one : it’s not really about economy , some people ask for increased drop.
in a farming game…that’s pretty much decrease longevity of a game , nothing more nothing less.

i personally don’t want that at all.
I’am usually open to some little changes , but i’am heavily against any kind of increased drop rate.

Outside of drop rate , i’am open to changes like the shared stash.

And i do want more character slots :stuck_out_tongue: (this would increase the game longevity actually)

Thieves… you really don’t understand D2 do you? Have you ever played the game? You prove me 100% right, you really do think that in any public game you are in, any item that drops should ALL belong to you, and any other player - a player who is likely doing more damage to the enemies than you - who picks up even a single gold coin is a “thief!” to you, therefore “give ploot”>

@boutus why so negative in every post almost? I’m not going to suddenly stop playing diablo 2 again I’m long time player myself. However, I also appreciate and see the opportunity here to make this game the best diablo ever

They already implemented tons of changes in D2R.

So, I guess I agree?

We definitely don’t need drastic gameplay changes though, this is a remaster.

Because it is the same demands from the same people every day on this forum. Calling other players “thieves” because they picked up something in a public game you are in, it really gives a fascinating insight into how ploot advocates see things.

The only government system I can think of that ploot is similar to isn’t… Democracy, Monarchy, Despotism or even pure Anarchy… You can probably guess it. :man_shrugging:

@boutus yes I have been in multiplayer games where someone of a different class grabbed a unique for mine when they could have left it. so that would be a type of thievery. no one likes seeing that and its easy to stop. Try not to talk to everyone stating a opinion as if they are an imbecille

What do you mean a “unique of mine”? Did you find it three weeks before, entered a game, dropped it and he picked it up? Or were you in the same party in the same game, killing Baal or Diablo or who/whatever, and he got to it before you did? Like you likely did thousands of times?

It’s not ‘theft’, the item did not belong to you, it was free for the taking to all party members.

@boutus you’re trying to be cute or something I guess. What I’m referring to is, say we’re in a group of 3 and I’m only barbarian and a barbarian set or unique drops and a amazon who cannot even us it grabs it. I’m referring to situations where obviously someone who is actively playing the class vs people playing a different class. I feel someone who is playing that class at the time of drop should get that loot.

Those are your feelings, not reality.

doesn’t really work that way , diablo is a game where most players plays EVERY classes.
an item can always be useful for someone.
in your screen i might use an amazon , but i also have necro , pala , sorc etc… on other char slot.

Exactly!
Or one of your own homies needs it later.

No I am not being cute, I am completely serious. It doesn’t matter if you are a barb and an amazon picks up a barbarian item, the player might have a barb for all you know or even if not, she could trade it for something she needs, trade is an integral part of D2.

You need to get this free to play MMO thinking out of your mind with D2R, on launch, don’t go into public games thinking that you are entitled to everything that drops, one because you are not and two, because you will only cause yourself to not have fun with it.

@gamma yes i understand that. I’m referring to a priority based system where the players actively playing it at time of loot get prio. If there are none or its universal like say a amulet then a loot roll or something similar to keep loot even

Why don’t you make friends to loot with?
Heck, i made a friend on here who is the polar opposite of my own personal opinion.
Good people are out there to game with.
