As the title says, it would be nice to have a new seasson mechanic/content per year. I know the development of the franchise is on Diablo 4 and Diablo Immortal, but lot of people still play and enjoy Diablo 3.
We do still love it, but it’s wishful thinking at this point.
Blizzard has went from being a company that makes games with players in mind to a greedy entity that makes games with money in mind, sadly. Therefore, unless the development revolves around some form of adding to the nickel/diming strategy, there is a 99.9999999% chance it will never happen.
Wishful thinking on the table, what mechanic would you like?
If you want to give money to Blizzard for Diablo game progression then P2P D;I. Legitimately there is now every type of modern Diablo game.
DI was extremely boring and the community for it is goofy as heck. I’d rather not
Yeah, would be nice, but not happening until D3R.
i think 1 year is too much, maybe could be 6 months.
still… it is a nice a idea.
I realy miss blizzard north…
The were very clear the game was in maintenance mode and seasons would be recycled. They are sunsetting the game but won’t do it right away as there is still enough players around to keep it going. The only hope we all have is if they do a D3: Resurrected but I wouldn’t hold my breath. Look how old D2 was when that happened.
It won’t ever happen. Sorry bro.
Personally I’ve quit D3 and D4. I was a fool and bought the biggest D4 pack both times, because I’m irresponsible like that, optimistic some might even call it. I should have known when there wasn’t infinite paragons that it wouldn’t be fun for me. I’d love new seasonal themes and mechanics in D3 as well, but it just isn’t realistic at this point. D4 is financially the more sane choice for Blizzard.
I’ve seen and done everything there is to do in D3. D4 is basically a slot machine. GA this, GA that. Finally get a good perfect item? Brick it with tempering, because “ItS FuN To RuIn YoUr ItEm!”.
Maybe my age has begun to show, but I’m just really picky with what games I actually choose to spend time on now. I tried giving many games a chance, but just couldn’t get into them. I really wish I could experience D3 for the first time again.
This game gave me a lot of confidence. Being able to score top 25 in a season, with only 1.8k paragons where my opponents had 5k+ and better gear, really gave me a sense of accomplishment. Having the great streamer Rob randomly add me and playing with him on PTR was a blast as well. I’ll always cherish the memories that D3 have given me. It was there for me in the darkest time of my life, it was great to pass the time and think of something else, to turn my brain off and mindlessly grind paragons. Everyone speaks fondly of D2 and less so of D3. I’m the other way around, I’ve done my grind in both games and I would choose D3 over D2 any day.
I’ve been looking for other games to experience the same high in, but it seems at the moment there isn’t one that scratches that itch for me.
Merry Christmas to you and yours and a happy new year. May we all find a game we can have fun with in the new year. Me personally I’m looking forward to the new Subnautica.
hi …
you are not irresponsible !!.
i have a good tip !. Before you buy any game, try to check with your friends how it is, i was about to buy diablo4 too, but i asked a friend about it, and i watched him playing, so after 5 min, i said : no way … pathetic. besides… diablo4 is over priced.
see you in PoE 2.
My friends and I like very different things.
I like grindy games, where motivation, persistence and dedication is a part of the skillset, not just your reflexes or mechanical skills, but strategizing, spending time efficiently rewards you. I’m not sure PoE2 has that. I looked at people playing POE2 and I think I’ll just become a viewer of that game, It doesn’t feel like something I’d enjoy playing.
My best friend, has over 3000 hours in Farming Simulator. He enjoys that game a lot. Me personally, I find it utterly boring and not entertaining. So not sure how helpful his review would be
I don’t really have any friends who play these games, who are also willing to dedicate their time and energy sitting down and grinding away, turning their brains off. Maybe it’s because I’m on the spectrum.
But thank you for saying I’m not irresponsible, I took that to heart. I think I was just on the hype wagon like everyone else, I pre-ordered even though I said I wouldn’t, I still did it, I wasn’t able to hold myself to my own promise and then as stupid as I was, I also preordered the expansion like an idiot. I don’t know why I’m like this, like I always have to have the most expensive version of something when it comes to premium editions of games.
