Is still worthing playing Season?

Honest question…

is still worthing playing Seasons if the reward seasonal themes will be lost forever after season ends?
What is the meaning of pursue them? Just an uphill run to make a spot in the ladder?

Seasons has nothing to do with making a spot in the ladder. There is so much in starting a new season. I’ll list a few below.

  1. The main one, is playing the game with a new theme.
  2. A personal challenge to start a character for scratch.
  3. Opportunity to try out a new character/build
  4. Everyone starts at 0 and you don’t compete with guys that have 10K+ paragon levels

I’m sure I can list more, but these are the ones that are important to me.

So, exactly the same as all previous seasons?

Sorry, I mean the new itens like Ethereals… I feel like I farmed it on all class for nothing… since it won’t stick even in the Regular Game… will be just cosmetics (and bad ripoff cosmetic from another lesser itens)

Yet most people don’t start a character from scratch. They power level boost. It’s all over chat: *LF boost, LF boost, I need some items.

Fast bling bling isn’t fun imo.

Not everyone starts at 0. It’s more likely that most of them start at 70 or higher.

But that was known from the very start… and there were even extremely easy ways of getting the achievement that you could have used.
The next season theme looks to be even more powerful than this one’s and the theme will have more variation than the current. There will also be an easy way to get level 125 augments on gear.

(By the way: Worthing?? Itens??)

Well, yes you do. If you choose to get PL, that’s your choice. But 0 to 70 is about 1 hour play, not much to be concerned over. Like I said, it’s a PERSONAL challenge, but I have no problem if someone gets PL. Heck I’ll PL anybody that asks me. In the end, it’s all about comradery with your friends/clan/other players.

PS Don’t approach seasons as a competition against others, but more as a personal challenge. And most of all, have fun!

I play seasons for these reasons but not in this order:

  1. try new builds that might have received bumps or just to do it. For example, I finally gave Uliana a trial and was pleasantly surprised at its effectiveness though whether that was caused by an OK ethereal or not is up for grabs. I might try it in the future to better gauge but I sort of liked the playstyle.

  2. get the season pet. I like the pets. They’re pretty much the only cosmetic I do like.

  3. set new goals like “reach paragon 1500” or “get all gems to level 50” or “augment all equipment.”

Well most people play mostly season. I saved alot of gear and my NS stash was full with gg weapons and gear, even gear wich wasnt good at the moment but could be buffed in the future. But i hardly played NS, and in the 2 week lull between seasons i used a little bit + the gained paragon, and after that it was just sitting in my NS stash again for 3 months. So i dont mind these ethereal kinda weapons.
The rewards like transmogs and pets will stay. And the uphill run for a spot on the leaderboard is as hard as you make it yourself, and the same every season ethereals or not.

ps. Actually as it is only the weapon doesnt transfer to NS, it’s only 1/13th of your gear that doesnt, all your gg rings, amu’s and whatnot all transfers

Is still worthing playing Season?

Sometimes yes, sometimes no; it’s all on you to decide.

For me, as an SSF & SSFHC player, it is usually worth it. I enjoy the process of gearing a character, and generally lose interest once I finish the journey, and start getting gems levelled up. That’s why I rarely go past GR100-GR110, and 1000 paragon.

The process of pushing GR’s is boring and beyond tedious to me, while the process of gearing properly for a specific build (or several) is very enjoyable. Once I have all the right ancient items, and the game becomes about the micro min/max management of items, I just go play something else.

So TL:DR Yeah seasons are worth it to me, but might not be for you. Only you can decide.

They’re not seasonal rewards, they’re seasonal flavor, incentives to get you to play…

  1. You want the cosmetics and the 5 stash tabs (5 Seasons)
  2. You want a fast way to get one of the full sets, that is actual in rotation as present

The season is almost over and I still don’t understand why this is any different from a seasonal theme that goes away afterward just because it is an item.

Most of the Season Themes were fun to play with, except maybe that early one with the circles no one could reach in time.

When previous seasons ended, your hero lost access to a buff that improved their items. When this season ends, your hero will lose items. It won’t just leave them less powerful, it’ll leave them having to find replacement weapons and augments.

How do you have 10697 posts and still not know? They literally list the nerfs in the patch notes. Do you read the patch notes? What we have here is a team of disinformation agents installed to say whatever they can think of to keep the players playing lol right?

Sinister, I think you’re picking on the wrong person. Meteorblade is one of the most knowledgeable persons in this forum. As for his high post count, if you look at his posts, the overwhelming majority are lengthy explanations and not quick replies to raise his post count. You can disagree with him, but you can’t deny that he’s genuine.

I guess we are all special in some way.

Your claim that I didn’t know about something would be a lot stronger if you hadn’t just quoted me talking about the thing you said I didn’t know about.

Not only did I read them, I also took part in the PTR Ethereals Testing Focus to ensure the process Blizzard has ready for the end of the season ensures that ethereals don’t make their way back into non-seasonal play.

You are ensuring they remove ethereals? So the incentive is removed after the season is over? You are proud of that? Thanks for the giggles. I love you all. These have been entertaining to say the least.
