It was the best class for Group Metas, since 3 out of 4 members of 4 Player Rat Runs were Necros. So up to S18, the answer is: YES !

IMO yes. both in D2 & D3 Necromancer is the best class so far, just did 121 solo with Aegis of Valor build with a Crusader, strong build/fun to play but when you bacame addict of Steuart’s Greaves speed, other classes feel to slow to play.
At the moment LoD Lancer Necromancer still the best build.

LOD Corpse Lance is good, yes, but I find it’s easier and funner to play in a group as RGK and to help pepper down anything else that survived along the way.

Most solo necro builds I don’t enjoy, unless it’s a different way to play that may not be optimal but more fun and/or with under-powered sets and skills.
