Is D3 crashing more on Mac after this Tuesday's update?

Specifically, it’s the newer Mac with ARM CPU. I had 3 or 4 complete freezes so far, and command-alt-escape doesn’t work. I had to force the power off and on.

not complete freezes, but plain auto quit of the game, very annoying. It was FINE before they “updated it” for the new Macs (mine has the M2 chip)

I’ve had several instances of the game freezing up and then quitting since the patch. They all happened on the same map type too. It happened 3 times farming goblins in Pandemonium Fortress and happened again in a grift that had that map. I’m playing on an M1 Max.

ETA: I just had 2 grifts do it in a row on different maps.

Hey, i can’t open the game ever since the update. U know why?

Me either, I was wondering if anyone else was having this issue.

2 more freezes today, after I started this post.

Probably get a better response if this was posted in the “Bug Report”, or “Mac Technical Support” forums.

I have hard crashed (complete screen freeze) many times. I have an M1 Max with Sonoma 14.7.3. I think I crash more during higher screen activity - i.e. echoing nightmares of 150+ and GRs that have higher density. It is annoying to solo push since I will often crash during my run. Not sure what is going on, but if I use three finger swipe, I can avoid a hard reboot. I have crashed probably 12 times.

I am constantly crashing on M1 Max running OS Sonoma 14.7.3. The game is tough to play with so many crashes.

I’ve just started replaying D3 after a long absence. 14" m4 MacBook Pro. In 3 days of playing, I’ve had at least 7 complete lockups. Just like you described – I’ll cast a spell, the screen will “zoom” in (or at least the graphic gets huge), and it completely locks my machine with a spinning beachball. Only way to get out of it is to turn off/on the machine.

Exactly the same for me. The game keeps freezing.
