Iron rose + simulacrum (nova proc?)

Hey,

after a long cut I am back in the game (holy lockdown in Germany) and have a question about the mechanics of Iron Rose in combination with the Simulacrum.

Does the Simulacrum cast the Blood Nova of Iron Rose even if the skill is not equipped in the skill bar?

During my lousy self test I figured out that die Simulacrum has a cast Animation on both setups (with or without Blood Nova equipped), but when Blood Nova is not equipped the red circle of the Nova is missing in the animation…

Damage wise I felt no real difference in my short test.

Hope someone can help

Any Skill or Gear (just starting) recommendations are welcome

Kind regards Sebastian

Yes, Simulacrum will cast any secondary skill you when you cast. My current build uses that, my cap right now it’s 100-105gr. But I think this build could reach around 110-115gr.

Iron rose triggers blood nova and simulacrum uses nova(I think it’s death nova) when this blood nova triggers.

Thank you for the answer Mate. I love playing this build too!

I currently use the Golem with the cdr trouser instead of Land of the Dead. Works nice for me.

Are you happy with your choice of Funerary Pick over Scythe of the Cycle? I have tried both and didn’t felt much of a difference.

About Funerary Pick, I lost a bit damage but death nova now triggers 3 times against 3 or more mobs. So for great part of GR I think it’s worth it, but really makes hard against Guardians.

About Land of the Dead, I use because 2 reasons:
1- Because the armor bonus
2- Because I could combo with simulacrum( 2 simulacrums hitting with me in certain moments helps a lot. Because mostly my damage on Guardians or fewer mobs comes from Stricken). 3 or more mobs with 3 death novas each and 2 simulacrums casting same thing, the damage scalates very well. These short bursts of damage helps sometimes and the golem (in my case) kept dying a lot.

So the nova of Iron Rose procs for every added target of Funerary Pick? Was not sure about that. Have you localized where the Nova procs? Around the target which is drained?

Yes, these are good reasons for Land of the Death. I mostly play in groups and my solo rift is around 75, so my Golem was still with me most of the time.

(excuse my bad english)

If you keep eye on you, you will see more (blood novas on you). Each blood nova “triggered” each tick of siphon. The time between blood novas (these 3) are really low, them will happen again when the “cicle of siphon refreshes”. You can notice if you focus on that, the animation of blood nova changes a bit (because of that).

About the golem, I saw he dying a lot in GR 90+. My last one without caldesan’s was 105 and I wasn’t using funerary pick. With caldesan’s was 106. When I have time I will try with funerary pick, but the pace on gr 100 was really better with funerary pick.
