Iron Rose + Shield Pylon = No Iron Rose stack?

I just took a Shield Pylon while fighting the RG.
Obviously not getting damaged. So I kept “Siphon Blood” the sucker RG (Perendi) without having to worry about other stuffs. The only other skill I was dumping at him was Bone Armor.

After some time, I wanted to know when Shield Pylon would wear off, so I looked at my Buff bars and noticed there is no Iron Rose stack (the icon with that bloodshot eye)!!! I only have Traqs’ Buff, COE and the almost-gone Shield Pylon buff…

What happened? Shield Pylon prevented lost of HP and not procing Iron Rose?

Yes, in that case you have to cast manually blood nova for the duration of the pylon, cause casting it manually drops your hp each time. Do that every couple of seconds and you should be around 10 stacks all the time.
