I was watching a utube video, they showed their inventory and a lot of the equipped items had a star (asterisk) in the bottom-right corner, some of the stars were green, others were brown. What do they mean?
Im probably wrong but transmogrification and legendary gem enchant i believe… which i have neither of lol. Or a silly mod they are using.
It’s just showing rarity of items. Transmogs show as a spiral in upper right, dyed items shows as an ink bottle in lower left. The stars can be turned on or off in the options-> Gameplay -> Show Rarity Icons for Items.
wow what’s the point in that lol
Don’t know, to be honest.
Could be to help colorblind folks. Would be nice if it distinguished Ancient and Primal as well, I’d turn it on for that.
i suppose so… they can still read though and each item says what it is.
It does mention color in the tool tip, so maybe it is for colorblind folks. I wish they would add an icon to show if an item is saved as part of a armory build so you don’t accidentally salvage an item you didn’t mean to. THAT I would use.
Yea, the armory system is a mess. It scatters gear hither and yon, and yea, you have no idea if a piece is part of a build or not.
Thanks guys, I didn’t have the rarity Option selected, I have now and I can see the brown star for legendarys and ancients and a green star for set items. The color blind idea does make sense.
This is why…
Ink bottle? I’ve never seen that.
Click on my profile and look at the items. Ink, dye, call it what you will. I thought it used to show in game, but maybe not. Definitely shows here in profiles, though.
I see. I thought you meant in-game.
