Increase attack speed

Hello,

I’m playing a firebird wizard and want to increase attack speed for signature spells.

Any tips?

Im using gogok as well as 50% from weapon and belt already, as well as enchanting.

Thanks!

You could give Echoing Fury a try - if you kill fast enough to keep Frenzy up…

There aren’t any good ways to do it.

Echoing Fury at full stacks doesn’t give you any more attack power than the Orb of Infinite Depth that you’re replacing in the cube. You give up 80% of your toughness and a big chunk of your boss killing power for the option to free up a skill slot if you don’t like Explosive Blast. But that again will reduce your attack power because Explosive Blast is still triggering the firebird bonus damage. Slow Time is a skill that can raise your attack speed, but its 10% bonus isn’t enough to get you to the next breakpoint if you already have 7% IAS on your gloves and rings. What it can do is give you a little extra to maintain your max attack speed if your Hand of the Prophet Enchantress follower dies.

If you try The Witching Hour belt and Lacuni Prowler bracers, you’re trading away massive attack and defense modifiers from Aughild’s and Captain Crimson’s sets for a little bit of attack speed.

Pain Enhancer maybe. Then it depends which other legendary gem you’re giving up. You probably don’t want to give up Bane of the Trapped because you’d probably need like 30 Pain Enhancer stacks at all times just to break even. Giving up Gogok would need maybe 10 stacks at all times to break even because the Gogok does things other than just give attack speed, and then you’re weaker against the Rift Guardian.

Bane of the Stricken->Pain Enhancer is the only real trade to be considered, as it makes you better against the rift itself, but then much worse against the boss.

Okay I thought up a way to do it.

Putting Echoing Fury in the cube can work if you carry the Orb of Infinite Depth. This necessitates breaking one of your small sets to restore the Firebird 6-piece. If you drop Captain Crimson, you can wear Delsere’s Shame belt. That frees up the Cubed armor slot, and you can put Shi Mizu’s Haori to work in there.

The ceiling on your DPS is higher if you can maintain Echoing Fury stacks at low health. And then you have the option to build the rest of your gear without +Crit Chance affixes.
