Do you think (or know) that after the upcoming patch, there will still be balancing between sets and classes or modifications concerning certain items?
Or the game will be in its final version?
I doubt it’ll be a final patch.
The patches afterwards will certainly have less changes overall however, some balance changes at most.
You know the answer… (that nobody here knows)…
What I speculate about is that some builds were extremely powerful both because of the theme and the patch. In the following patch they were then heavily nerfed, so when the theme comes around again and if the original patch isn’t there anymore these once powerful builds will be useless or non existant.
I doubt there will be much if any changes going forward.
There won’t be major changes after this patch in my opinion because it’s the last big one before season themes repeat. To put it bluntly, this upcoming patch is the last stretch before game enters a semi-hibernation until finish. Any follow up changes after S29 could appear as tweaks rather than huge overhauls to Sets and legendary powers; but no, it’s not the final patch.
My sense is that it will be the last “non-maintenance mode” patch.
Most likely. Probably they will write a blog about what recycled theme is for seasons 31, 32, and 33 and that is it.

S29 patch is most likely the last chance for balance
Yep final patch. Then season themes will recycle. No reason to put more work on D3, they have D4 to fix.

Who knows, they could use the game as a testing grounds for D4 ideas to try and save it.
They have already announced that S29 would be the last season with new content.
They have also announced Altar will permanently return with S30, so the seasons will probably be hybrids of old themes with additional Altar (probably a lighter version than S28).
Nobody can say if the code for all seasons including Altar is already in the next patch or if it still will be rolled out as patch season by season.

Yeah they have not done this so far. So nany qol they should have implemented in D4
I take that as seasonal motif content with seasonal dynamics. Changing the way the game plays is a whole different ballpark.
