Impale Ricochet rune and Shadow Mantle set

So the Shadow Mantle set states that impale does less damage to secondary enemies hit (25,000 versus 75,000).

Does ricochet count as secondary enemies hit?

Not sure what counts as a secondary enemy, and it seems like it would apply to ricochet but I want to make sure.

Assuming you also have Holy Point Shot quiver, each Impale attack throws 3 knives. For each knife thrown, the first target it hits gets 75,000% damage, and it splits into two ricochets, both of which will do 25,000% damage to whatever they hit next. So, you’ll get three knives hitting for 75,000% each, and six ricochets hitting for 25,000% each.
