If you own Disc, Get Digital....Game Saves Remain Intact?

Hello All

Wasn’t sure hw to word this but I have a friend who has the D3 - RoS disc version. Hasn’t played in awhile but her PS4 is having issues reading the disc so she’s thinking of grabbing the Digital Version…maybe the one with D2 included. But I said I assume so but she asked getting the Digital Version her characters and save would still be there and move over or something like that…but wouldn’t be lost correct?

…oh…what is the price of D2 - Resurrection for Digital owners by the way…I can’t see in the PS Store…

D3 save data is not on the disc. The save data should be recognized by the game whether the game is on the disc or the digital download as long as the save data is not corrupt or has been deleted.
