Yes of course I know there are bots on Diablo 2: LOD RIGHT NOW, anyone who plays the game knows that. Please point me to evidence of their being bots on the Beta test right now. Also I think it’s a pretty solid prediction to not expect bots for a while after the release of the game but assuredly the bot community is working on this project which is why I said “right now”. ALSO, I have “Ninja looted” or whatever you might want to call it from bots during bot runs MANY times. It’s not impossible I’ve literally done it and anyone who has played long enough has probably done it.
One of the reasons I don’t like personal loot, besides it being an affront the D2:LOD, is that it takes longer to gear up since usually those systems also do away with trading and move to make everything BOP or BOA… and then sometimes they start selling you ways to gear up inside the game with microtransactions. No thanks, go back to D3 goy.
Also I didn’t say ALL good and legit players… so you can take your logical fallacy and shove it up that slippery slope.

Who is Matthew Cederquist? I don’t know him, never played with him either so I could care less what he is calling ninja looting. IMO if there is such a thing as ninja looting in D2 it’s when either someone guesses the p/w on a game where you are muleing or if one of your friends decides to screw you over during a mule session. Anything else is just looting.

PoE shows otherwise. D3 also had personal loot initially and in its early on all items were tradeable andthere even was 2 auction houses. Even now in D3:RoS, legendary drops are still tradeable to party members when the legendary dropped.

though i do think there is too much tension for something that would simply be optional and with no change to people that won’t use it or any advantage to people that would use it.
(contrary to charm inventory which would indeed not be a “toggle” as if it were to happen if you wouldn’t use it it would be disadvantageous , so everyone would be “forced” to use it , meaning yes heated debate on that would be more important)

All I can think of is a single light sorc smashing everything before anyone even gets to any of those areas. This sounds like it would need more changes to work, so your one change turns into multiple changes with monster HP and difficulty.
You are trying to destroy D2. Go destroy something else. Leave D2 alone. You can always opt to NOT PLAY IT, if it isn’t suiting your desires.

Thank you, I do play D3 and I can play D2R as well. Why don’t you go an play classic D2, I am going to enjoy laying the new D2R. I paid for this game and I have just as much right to voice my opinions as you do. There have been several unannounced changes that are sure to tickle your fancy and I hope they stay in the game for launch.
