If D4 adds any sort of microtransactions on any sort of power giving any level of advantage I will never buy another blizzard game again, Immortal was a proven scam after we been lied that it was going to be cosmetics only and look at what happened.
I already unsubbed wow and uninstalled all wow games and I will give D4 a chance, the moment I see microtransactions that gives people an advantage I am out and am sure many will too. I do not support cash grab casino like scam tactics like Immortal did.

They will definitely introduce p2w but first they will try to keep as many people in the endgame as possible.
After they see that the number of players is starting to drop, they will try to squeeze as much as they can out of people.
Recall how long they denied that Diablo Immortal is a p2w game. They are now confirming it themselves.
Most people with functioning brain cells knew it was p2w in 2018.

I am so sure they are worried if that occurs because, really, one whale equals about 10,000 of the boycott brigade. And, the game would have them. Moby’s Dick is all about hunting.

I can’t - because they didn’t. They were upfront about it. They didn’t tell us HOW they were going to do it. What we know now is that the whales just paid more to have the same amount of fun.
The devs have been very, very clear that any MTX are for cosmetics. They have used just about every possible way to spell it out, yet we still have folks like you whining about something that isn’t going to happen.

People are destroying the game on the new Diablo 4 forums. No one seems happy with it. There’s more negative reception than positive because of the micro transactions. You just wouldn’t notice it as much here as you would on another platform (for example Steam) where users can leave public reviews.
Considering the massive amount of “I hate Diablo” and “I hate what Blizzard has become” players who eagerly tripped over themselves to preorder D4 at the first opportunity, yes you will absolutely buy another blizzard game again regardless of what they do. Impulse control doesn’t exist for the vast majority of blizzard game players. You will absolutely buy D4 even if they turn it into a real abomination like diablo immortal. Then you will come to the forums to complain about it AFTER you gave them your money.
The current state of the official D4 forums should be inserted as an encyclopedia entry somewhere as a definition for the problem with delusion, hype, and preordering of videogames.

I fully expect p2w will come to d4. Eventually.
And off course other things can be bought, like more stash, character slots, respecs etc. Possibly any and qof things…

My guess is that it won’t be outright selling power, but instead something a bit more sneaky like selling convenience and time saving. Time = Efficiency and Efficiency = Power

I think people just want it to fail. the beta is amazing so far. the skills are fun to use. At this point there is nothing to make these trolls happy and I wish we had a way to filter out the doom posts so we dont need to see these make everyone else feel bad posts

I enjoyed it, there is some glaring issues with balance and some bugs but overall was an enjoyable experience.
Just play Baldur’s Gate 3 instead.
I have played wow since beta and until now i have canceled my sub and uninstalled wow and classic clients I have reached a point I am ready to let go such disappointment. Now i am wondering if getting a refund is the best solution, i went back to continue playing d3…i don’t know it feels dull to me
I don’t think you need to. By the sounds of this and the way Wow and others operate, they are either F2P or expansions update preexisting games in place of independent sequels.
This is just another one more chance or else thread after already having purchased. Sounds like an abusive relationship, or a hooked addict.
