If Blizz North never died&kept updating D2, it’d be ruined?

Lets Be real Here, D2R already isn’t 1.14 it’s a New beast of its own ALREADY… so all the Purists didn’t get what they wanted any way you look at it, No ebug no wsg, all the different skills they changed the fx on. it’s gonna play and feel similar But yet new at the same time as it’s, they changed way to much to call this a remaster with more changes coming.

Yeah, they moved ladder-only items into non-ladder, both gutting ladder’s attraction and introducing an order of magnitude power creep into non-ladder at the same time…

If I could go back in time and pick winning lottery numbers, would I still be rich today or would I have blown all the money? Guess we’ll never know, as it never happened.

So… you’re at least two layers deep into hypothetical situations. What… value… do you see in this?

World of Warcraft. Nothing more to say.

Clearly faking ignorance because you know that the answer to this question totally discredits purists dogma

I’m genuinely curious as to what you would say. It’s a darn shame you resort to name-calling and ad-hominem attacks and are so defensive. It makes it really hard to have any sort of discussion with you. :frowning:

Yeah I think so judging by the state of Blizzard’s other IPs.

Well, David Brevik stated he would of added an option for personal loot and removed stamina, so I think it would of been a even more improved and a bigger current playerbase since bots/pickit players couldn’t steal loot. :slightly_smiling_face:

i dont know about d2, but d3 probably would have been much better. so you could say d2 would be worse off if d3 took the throne

There’s a difference between changing existing systems and adding to the game.

Like it or hate it, nostalgia is part of the appeal to many people buying D2R, and I totally get it.

As much as people want new content, myself included, it’s novel for a while, but it always boils down to what the end game is, what are we going to be doing in the long term? Which in most ARPGs I’ve played, that still comes down to doing the same runs repeatedly. More doesn’t necessarily mean better. Still, I’d like to see some new content, eventually.

With that said, I don’t really get these threads…people will always be opposed to changes, that’s their right, why question them? Just like it’s your right to want change. You seem a little…obsessed. Let people have their opinions. If the demand for change is there then change will happen, that is the natural course of things, but you can’t strongarm people into thinking a certain way.

The saying, “you can’t teach an old dog new tricks”, was meant for the forums of a 20+ year old game.
