Yea i own d2 and lod hardcopys but mine are the new cds 1.11ver and thay came with the new install cds and keys b4 blizzard pull hardcopys and its shady for them to say u have to own this game to evin post and what about ppl that are going to buy d2r hardcopys for ps4/5 xbox1 and nintendo switch how are thay going to prove thay bought the game hun?
Access to the general discussion forum depends on you having the original game bound to your Blizzard account. Unfortunately owning the old hard copy/non redeemed keys doesn’t count.
You can add your original Diablo 2 keys by entering them in the “Redeem a Code” field in the Account Overview.
One thing worth trying if you do have the keys bound to your Blizzard account: Click the General Discussion forum, sign out and then sign back in.
That’s the problem it will only let you redeem the old 16 character CD keys. my hardcopy came with the new installer cds ver 1.11 LOD and the new CD keys the 26 digit keys on the sticker thats on the paper cases for the disks for bouth d2 and lod I got my hardcopy just before blizzard discontinued releasing hardcopies I never had to register with battle.net or anything I just installed the game useing the new cd’s and new 26 digit keys with the new installer from the disk oh well i guess im SOL the fourms for d2 and d2r is just as toxic as thay always been

If you go into this forum’s account setting, at the very top of the next page is “redeem code”, doesn’t that work?

Just had to figure this out myself.
If you have the old hard copies with 16 character keys, you have to go to your bnet account and redeem them. Then, on the left side menu, there’s a bar for games and subscriptions. Go to that, scroll down to classic games, and find D2 and LOD, and it’ll give you the 26 character keys to use with the downloadable installer which won’t take 16 character keys. Clear as mud!
