Diablo 2 World Record Smashed! | Uber Tristram Speed Smiter Build
By Cooley and his stream

How cool is that! Makes me want to quit my job when Resurrected comes out.

Um no, it’s not new or smart or that fast.

Smiter with max crushingblow on a high rolled Lastwish runeword is and has always been the meta for Uber Tristram.

This is just some noname streamer trying to make noise with clickbait.

At OP unless you know how to play the economy and be efficient in D2 the smite build is one of the most expensive builds in the game. Be prepared. And you’ll need a speed runner like hammerdin, sorc, Nova NEC, or Lite trap Assassin to farm runes and items for the smite.

Without gear the smite is near worthless and very slow for anything but Ubers. It’s very much a 1 trick pony build.

All of that goes without saying, we know what a smiter is and what it requires. He used an amp ammy instead of going life tap and beat the world record. It was less about cb and more about doubling the damage but having 105% cb is nice touch. So, yeah it is new, smart and, obviously extremely fast given he beat the world record by about 10%.

You seem really, really salty and negative about this guy’s achievement tbh and Coooley isn’t a noname streamer, he’s one of the most entertaining PVPers in D2. His stuff is quality and very informative.

Realistic and logical =/= salty

Oh, I’ve been playing Diablo since release. And I’ve never heard of him or care anymore now after watching the vid.

Substituting a single curse to go a few seconds faster is just min maxing. Honestly if it took 20 years to figure this out I’m more saddened than enlightened.

Your welcome to your opinion, I’m sticking with mine.

PS someone unknown doesn’t imply lack of quality, we should try not to conflate things like that; popularity, quality, quantity, etc, are all separate things in general. The vid was quality, just so we can agree on that.

Lastly the Record is based on only those who have chosen to both document and present there runs publicly. It’s a useless competition in other words, since I’m confident there are many players who have hit those kind of time, including myself, who are just simply playing. Some people just don’t need to shout it off the rooftops to strangers. (Not negating the accomplishment, just saying it’s only really value is to the individual and those interested, it is only proven in the chosen sample, not the game at large since that system never existed in D2 to track records).

And? Irrelevant

We’re talking doubling your damage instead of gaining life. Pretty big difference, no?

Agreed, but nobody did that. I’m trying to enlighten you. Just because you haven’t heard of someone doesn’t mean they’re a ā€œnoname streamerā€ using clickbait. Clickbait tends to go hand in hand with lower quality content. This is not clickbait nor low quality content. Your claims are foolish and reply is just cringe material doubling down on unfounded nonsense.

Try being a Positive Peter next time

Conventions still being broken after years of play is the stuff I want to see from D4!

Edit: Devs reshuffling the top builds, or even introducing new ones in regular patches, is not the same thing.

It is a news worth to break a Diablo Record in 2021. So many ppl tryed it, the streamer got it. Gz

And by the way: it shows once again how many and different ways to play was given us in d2 compared to d3. His build needed twenty years (minus the years of d2 without uber-bosses) to get discovered for the public. Good thing i think.

The ā€˜ā€˜meta’’ has been played many time since the release of D2 and LoD.
Because no ā€˜ā€˜one’’ has put the build on a famous site of video, doesn’t mean it was not played. And ā€˜ā€˜Cooley’’ is also famous to get some ā€˜ā€˜duped’’ items from my point of views. Like a 08.Valk a Btal, and some obscure items who’s (I hope) will not be in D2R.

it’s easy to say that someone incognito broke the world record before
it’s much harder to bring proofs for it.

but before anybody show me proofs that someone did it before, i can’t believe that u talk the truth.

everybody can write something in the forum.
do u believe when someone says, that he knows since ten years people who can run 20secs faster than usian bolt world record time? but this runners don’t want to make it public. and because that usian bolt is not rly fast and it wasn’t a real world record?
would u believe it? or would u rofl?

i wouldn’t believe it without proofs, so i can’t believe u without proofs.
till u bring it, it sounds strange.

how did you get a link in your post?

You can paste your link in and use the </> feature around it. It also has to do with trust level in the forums; if you are at level 3 you can embed things straight up.

Who’s the guy who set the ā€˜ā€˜world record’’ ? If you take every player since the release of the Ubers and believe or not, some has been playing since forever until now. I’m pretty sure some people has break the ā€˜record’ many time, and it’s was not filmed at all. I’m okay with that.
I do not need some ā€˜ā€˜proof’’ or video of that and some kind of sh*t if the guy’s said he is faster than Bolt go ahead I simply don’t care haha.

I’ve watch some video of this guy and just no. Boring AF. Just showing some stuff the regular people will never ever get. Like this jewel in his helm, it’s altmost impossible to get in drop. In fact in 15 years i’ve drop only one and guest what, was not perfect at all. Anyway The ā€˜ā€˜World Record’’ from D2 are from my point of view who’s pi** higher than the other one.

Well, I believe someone jumped to the moon from the ground just using their legs. Should you believe it because I said it? There’s a reason there are ways of recording these things, it’s for proof that they exist. You can say ANYTHING you want to, it doesn’t make it true.
