Hey guys I beat game on xbox one for first time started on normal. plan was to start on normal play whole thing from act one to act five then move on to hard so on and so on… However after i beat the angel of death restarted at almost beginning of act v what do i do to restart with same char on act I. Or is that just not possible.
You can change the progress to any quest you have completed before from the game menu.
You can change difficulty any time from the game menu as well. You don’t need to finish the whole campaign to do so.
When you killed Malthael (angel of death), adventure mode was unlocked. You don’t need to play campaign again and again. Again, change the mode from the game menu.

yeah its not letting me change the act on console though not sure why. I can do bonties rift and keys warden changes but can take quest and go back

Maybe I’m misunderstanding you. And I don’t play on console; only PC.
But, it sounds like you have Adventure Mode selected. There are no Bounties or Rifts (Nephalem or Greater) in Campaign Mode. You also cannot change Quests while in Adventure Mode. There are no Quests in Adventure Mode. Only Bounties and Events, Rifts and Greater Rifts.
You cannot access Kanai’s Cube in Campaign Mode. But, you can acquire the Cube, extract Legendary Powers and equip 3 of those Powers in Adventure Mode. Then, when you return to Campaign Mode, you will still have those Powers equipped. However, if you wish to change them, you will have to return to Adventure Mode to access Kanai’s Cube again.
Looking at Maskraider’s screenshot above, the large yellow box is highlighting “Campaign Mode”. You must have that selected to change Quests.
You can change Game Difficulty in both, Campaign Mode and Adventure Mode.
Right what im saying its it only lets me change diffucultly at start and it isnt letting me pick act or quest in either mode. Like my understanding is campain supposed to be able to go back and say do The fallen angel quest but its nothing letting me change anything. Its just letting me pick mode like compain or adventure and diffuculty.
In that case, you may want to do what Maskraider suggested and move this thread to the Console Bug Report Forum.
