Whenever my Wiz attack with his primary school, only the first attack seems to proc F & R. Subsequent attack does not proc at all.
It seems to affect the magic weapon skill too. I notice I am not replenishing shield as fast as I usually did when attacking with a channeling skill. In fact I doesn’t seems to replenish shield at all. Standing in ground effect and attack will always proc my cheat death now compare to last time when I attack with ray of frost or arcane torrent.
My key pet peeve was my F & R is losing a huge dmg boost as now the Pri skill boost from F & R will last 5 sec and will never proc again for the same enemy.
Focus works with skills that generate primary resource. Does your Signature skill generate resource, or is it just free to cast?

That might have been how it worked before… but now, the power says :
« When you hit with a resource-generating attack or primary skill, deal 50% increased damage for 5 seconds. »
So I got my Wizard to wield Focus and Restraint rings, and used Magic Missile/Glacial Spike (primary skill) and Arcane Orb/Frozen Orb (spender) and went to kill some monsters…
As you can see on that screenshot, both the generator and spender powers are « ON ».
I haven’t tried other skills… I don’t have that much experience with a wizard and this is HC.

I know that that used to be the case, and since the Wizard’s primary skills are still called Signature spells, I was under the impression that they did not proc Focus.
All wizard signature spells (Magic Missile, Shock Pulse, Spectral Blade, Electrocute) will trigger Focus on hit.
Focus will trigger on every cast of a primary that hits an enemy, but only once per cast. So piercing primaries like Living Lightning will only trigger on the first enemy hit, and not on additional enemies hit as it travels past the first enemy. As long as you are actually hitting an enemy, and you are actively casting a primary and not trying to rely on some sort of piercing effect and expecting it to continue to trigger Focus repeatedly from a single cast, you should get a Focus stack. Every primary cast that hits an enemy will grant refresh the stack.

I was actively hitting the RG repeatingly with chain lightning, the first hit proc the F & R Primary skill bonus, subsequent hit won’t proc it anymore. The Spender portion has no issue. I switch to magic missile glacier spike, same issue still happen.
So I give up and go LOD twister. For this season, It has more damage and the toughness seems to be a lot better than hydra. At GR100 when Coldsnap ram me before my storm armour can proc, my shield is not even depleted. When on hydra build, Coldsnap ramming me before storm armour can proc will always proc my cheat death… even at GR 90.
