I know this has been posted a few times before but i am now also experiencing it. Have not been able to find a fix so hoping to get one here as there have been days/weeks put into this character. I have been trying fr i dont know how long to get hunters wrath in order to complete my DH build. This thing will not drop after tens of thousands of blood shards, countelss greater ritfs, bounties and caches. I have even tried upgrading rare belts with no luck. Any idea on how i can resolve this?
LOL, normally i would agree but with the amount of resources spent and time this cannot purely be bad luck. i have purchased around 3000 belts with blood shards and had hundreds of legendaries. Given that it does not have a lower drop rate to the rest i cannot believe anyones luck can be that bad
Oh and this does not include my other characters rolls or drops.
Yeah… the RNG for everything approach this game takes can throw you some nasty barriers to progress. There’s really no good solution to the problem. That said there are some options… run with groups… especially of your class… if you can get a 4 man team of DH’s running GR90’s you quadruple the chance of getting one to drop. If you simply want the belt to cube it then some items have “sweet spots” while leveling. Once you’re level 70 you have to fight with the entire loot pool for items. Check to see what level is required for Hunter’s Wrath and level a toon to that point then gamble for one. It’s not really a bug it’s bad design that you’re dealing with… so you have to play “as intended” to beat it.
I didn’t have thousands of blood shards to spend, so I went the other route — buy belts from Haedrig and upgrade them to legendary using the “Hope of Cain” recipe.
First, I created a non-season DH, bought 60 belts and upgraded them – got 4 Hunter’s Wrap:
Then I created a seasonal DH, bought 60 belts and upgraded them… and stopped after getting my first Hunter’s Wrap (I’m not that rich in crafting mats )
Thanks for the info ontheleft, have tried the group thing. The DH is the main with 700 paragon levels all earnt on her. Will try the new character and hope one drops earlier. I am looking into it and will try find out what level the item can drop at. Thank you
Thanks Boubou, will try that with new seasonal character.
Nice to see there are some helpful understanding people on the forum as well.
You don’t need to create another seasonal DH, just continue to use your blood shards, craft some belts and use the 3rd recipe of the cube.
Maybe you’ll get your Hunter’s Wrath more quickly with your new DH, but if it’s the case, it’s just RNG.
I just checked the Diablo 3 wiki… unfortunately Hunter’s Wrath is a level 70 belt so you can’t use the leveling trick to get it. You’re stuck with rare–>legendary upgrades, Kadala, and running rifts to farm it. May your luck change soon!
Thanks for the info, guess its another DH then. At least i can just transfer the rest of the gear and the paragon levels. I really feel that after 700 paragon levels and all those blood things from Kadala nd the upgrade via thecube i have tried my best best will be new DH. It really does feel like it is somehow blocked from dropping. The group i play with have had countless drops (not even buying or ugrading) just over the last week. I measure for the last week because that is when my whining started, could not contain it any more. Should i try different GR levels? I generally farm 90 but will try anything that makes sense.
At least it is not too much longer till Diablo 4 is out
Thanks again, i will update here later with any results for those interested.
Sounds like it could use a section for some entitled , like yourself as well. When you have put this much time and spent that many resources and the item does not drop but everyone you play with has had multiple it makes you wonder.
All Jalantha is saying is that people consistently use the Bug Report forum for bad RNG, which of course is not a bug.
There are more appropriate places for such posts like the General Discussion or New Player Help forums. Those places, clarification questions can be asked first. If it seems that there is a bug involved, then come to the Bug Report forum.
As for criticizing others for their posts, you’re not helping by escalating it with retaliatory posts of your own.
You get paragon 700 after about 25 GR90 (which is about 10k shards), so there is clearly some exaggeration going on here.
Not having your build completed at 700 paragon is a little unlucky maybe, but not that bad. The belt is quite hard to find because there are so many belt that can drop so it’s normal that it’s the last piece you find.
So stop whinging about RNG in the bug report section, go run GR90s instead (do two back-to-back, quick ID, quick salvage, quick gamble, put things you want to save in stash and go again. Town is lava, should be at most 2 minutes break between pairs of GRs), keep gamble belts, and you’ll get your hunters wrath in no time. GL
