How valueble is NS?

Does NS Truly benefit from this game?

depends on your view, some people just care for Non Seasonal, some for Seasonal and some for Hardcore, its nice so see 10k paragon nonseasonal players inside game. I became 4k on NS its nice to play with high paragons.

Season is a journey and NS is your life

lol   :rofl:for me is dumb starting over and over, seasons are bored, and blizzard try to pretend seasons are cool just adding some cheap reward and a broken seasonal event, besides that the seasons are hot garbage, i only play 1 week season get those dumb cosmetics, wings or pets, and then back to my NS characters

For me it has great value, I have no need for a “Fresh Start” every 3 months or so, I have zero desire for more pets, wings or portraits, I can put the game aside for a bit and not feel that I missed anything, Seasons, feels like the same grind as Non Seasons, just another way to get there and I never feel rushed to complete any goals I set for myself, where Seasons feels like it’s a “Race To Nowhere”.
I know Seasons is really the only Mode of the game that the Dev’s really care about and focus on, and that really sucks, but if Seasons is the only way to keep players at all interested in the game, I guess it just has to be.

i prefer to play w/e is best efficiency for a solo player
ive done almost all of them n got all the stash tabs on at least 2 accounts. lon rat,ww barb, vyr, impale, wol, shotgun, they always shine more on season thx to the buffs normally
if a build isnt nerfed when it goes to ns i might consider playing with accumulated paragon
im still trying to level out from when i binged crus on ns
my profile is like half for most classes n crus is all orange.

Non season is a perfectly good option to the game. Not everyone wants to start new characters every 3 months.

Funny, for me it is the opposite  I find dumb playing in non-seasonal, it is always the same thing without any new challenges and objectives
It is much more fun starting from scratch each season, and relive the pleasure of leveling and improving your characters with a group of friends. And in seasonal you can compete in the leaderboards without having 5000 paragons (for the first few days at least, because at some point you have to sleep, while bots never sleep
)

The Seasonal Journey had been the same for, oh I don’t know, the last 16 Seasons maybe? Don’t kid yourself.

Also, both modes are meant to be enjoyed differently.

Some like starting fresh and work towards a finite objective, while some likes to feel powerful and reap the fruits of their labour over the years they’ve played this game.

I’m mostly a soloist and I hate grouping up thus my rather low Paragon on both NS and Seasonal despite the hours I’ve put in.

While Seasons have its interesting takes such as limited-time features or modes (e.g. Season 20 with the unrestricted use of Kanai’s Cube powers), I detest starting from scratch and enjoy mindless plowing through monsters in higher GRs in NS that otherwise I would not be able to do so in Seasonal Play.

Plus, I’m a hoarder, so the only reason that I play Seasonal is to unlock the cosmetics and nothing more.

I wont say i’m a horader per-se, but my damn ns is full of, the best primals, perfect
so i get stingy and throw most sets out and keep the crucial stuff
i’ll use 5 stash tabs for all the classes i play if i go high iq
but normally i keep it down to only needed 2 stash tabs, and everything else is disposable.

Non-season used to be a measure of how well you played the game overall. Season was a place the new people could compete on equal terms with seasoned (sic) players.

Unlimited Paragon Points and that one Experience exploit completely ruined Non-Season.

Still, non-season is great for polishing off those builds that need more time to get just the right gear. For example, my favorite build need a specific set of five Passive Skills. So it requires a Hellfire Amulet, that rolls perfect, with one of those passives. I have a primal with the wrong passive. Frustrating. So I run with an ancient that has 68 less Intelligence.

For me NS is about testing builds that I create to see what they can do. Then I know what to ask for, specifically. For example I asked specifically that increased dart damage be added to The Dagger of Darts (with a suggested range). When I thanked the Devs some jack-wagon complained that ‘everyone’ asked for more damage. Yeah, but not everyone did the work and asked for a specific buff. One is helpful and more effective, the other is just whining.

Why not offer the option?

I like focusing on Seasons personally and treating it, essentially, like D2 where I focus on a specific build, sometimes cookie-cutter sometimes not, and playing with that build until the end of the season and then usually pushing until death (HC) if I didn’t love the end result OR I’ll keep the character as something to play in NS when I want to play the build again (right now I only have two, I took a year off from D3 and when I came back deleted like 4 characters since I’d rather relearn through a season)

Softcore vs. Harcore, Season vs. Non-Season
they all just offer options to the player to make the game the best they can for themselves.

ya same
i even play on different accounts per season, my main would be impressively high paras. I like playing the builds they rushed out of ptr and can only be abused in a new journey
i have love/hate too ive been around since beta
but now i just like being a casual solo.

it’s your call. I’ve never pushed leaderboards and didn’t play seasonal at all until I did. Once I tried seasonal, I have barely touched NS since. IMO, the game gets less fun the the deeper into the geargrind i get so season solves that for me. past that, i enjoy the cosmetics.

I don’t understand why the Devs don’t allow for Seasonal themes transition over to NS so that we can a change of place as well, especially since NS is “irrelevant”.

Not anymore it don’t. When double goblins hit as a season theme, they extended that to non-season as well. Not this time around, unfortunately. If there is a clear picture where Blizzard favours season over non-season in D3, that is it.

NS for gaming
Season for loling

but i dont loled from season 15 or so maby ill do a little in s21

I never understand why people ask the question that the OP posed.
The pro-season argument is that NS is the same thing over and over. All we have is grinding Paragon and pushing GR.

Season is somehow different? Guardian can be achieved by the end of the first weekend. Then what do you have? Grinding Paragon and pushing GR.

If you enjoy having to retrain your NPC’s every 3 months. If you love re-finding Crimson’s and Flawless Royal gem plans over and over. If you feel challenged by T10 Conquests while wearing sets capable of T16 right out of the box. And if you relish repeatedly mastering the same tired old Set Dungeons. By all means play Seasons.

I hope you enjoy your little mechanical seahorse.
Then once you get it, you can start grinding Paragon and pushing GR like the rest of us.

lol dude seasonals and no seasonals are the same crap, the season event barely changes anything, but every mode is the same, i dont find funny trying the refind every item that i currently have in my nonseason chest, i dont care laderboards so at the end S and NS are the same crap, but seasonal is worst because u have to start again over and over (LAME)

why do you need to think about starting with nothing? you act like it’s a chore to get at least a handful of gems to 150 or something
