How to update d2 2000

was just wondering how to update diablo 2 2000
I loaded the game and then loaded battlenet and nothing happened
any idea guys

Did you open the battle net within d2 ?

Start d2, click on Battle.net (do not attempt to login with a VPN on) and the game will update to the latest patch. Then create an account and character and away you go.
