How to get Imperial gems easy

The Bag of Fortune gives Flawless Royal Emeralds. The OP was asking about imperial gems.

Isnā€™t that the end goal with base gems though? Or are people looking for more Imperial gems for enchanting?

Need marquis and imperials for enchanting at the Mystic. Would be kind of nice to be able to break gems down, but I donā€™t see that happening.

I havenā€™t said anything about this before, but Iā€™ve often wondered the same thing. We can Salvage items for Crafting Materials. So, why not let the Jeweler ā€œSalvageā€ Gems for their lower components?

Although, once you hit Level 60, all that drops are Marquise Gems anyway. And, once you enter Torment I or higher, you also get plenty of Imperial Gems.

For PTR it would be more convenient to just add maybe 10 Flawless Royal and Royal to the Bag of Fortune. They wouldnā€™t even have to be all types.

  •   1x Flawless Royal Emerald
  • 10x Imperial Emerald
  • 10x Marquise Emerald

Then, just use Squirtā€™s Essences to convert them to whatever you need.

Outside of PTR and the Flawless Emerald from the BoF, I canā€™t see much use for breaking them down. Iā€™m gonna assume others play like I do and only keep marquis and imperial in stash and make higher level gems as needed.

opening a chest in a rift is the same as killing a yellow.
