How to change in-game hours to 24h format

Hi,

after latest update my in-game hours changed from 24 to 12 hour format.
I would like to change it back, but cannot find it anywhere in battlenet options or in-game options.

Where is it?

Thank you.

I think they use the format from your operating system. In Windows, go to settings and switch your clock format to 24 hr format.

I think Bman is correct. It uses your operating system clock. In Windows you can set that.

Go to Control Panel > Clock and Region > Region
That pops up a small window letting you change time and date formats. You want it set to “HH:mm” which would be military time using the 24 hour clock.

Yours is likely set to “h:mm tt” which is normal ex: 6:25 PM

How many different forums did you post that in ?

Well, we keep being told that no-one cares about and/or reads the EU forums so maybe that’s why he posted it to US too…

Maybe we could just buy Europe and make them US. problem solved.

no you are not right … it doesnt use what windows is using …
i am from EU and it always was 24h … now after the update to 2.6.6. its using 12 hour format and there was setting in battlenet … but now i cannot find it

its kinda sad that you think i am that stupid and didnt noticed that my computer is using, just like that, suddenly, 12 hour format instead of 24 …
its the game problem … not windows … jesus …

You are being sarcastic right? It IS based on the operating system. I have tested it following the instructions I gave you. The only part I did extra was to close and restart the launcher after changing the system time.

there is 24 hour format on my pc, but the game is still using 12 hour format … for days since 2.6.6., thats why i am saying its not based on system.

Before update, it was 24 hours, after the update, its 12 hours

i am in europe and i have eu version of windows, it doesnt even allow to set it to US format, there is no option to change it from 24 to 12 on my pc
i would even post a picture if it would be allowed … stupid new forum

Ok that is really odd then. I had mine in the US standard that shows 3:00 PM instead of 15:00. I closed the launcher, went into the OS settings, made the change I described, and when I restarted the launcher and game it had changed the time to 15:00 in game as well as on the PC.

Have you restarted the PC and the launcher? Have you tried using the Scan and Repair tool in the launcher?

Those are simple, but might help. If they really don’t, make a detailed post, including the images and put it in the Bug Report forum. To make a readable link, but not clickable, just paste the link, highlight and click the code button that looks like </> above the text.

i am restarting the pc everyday, launcher too, did the scan, did the restart, checked registry, viruses … nothing …
thanks about the hint …

well, since i can find topics about this even 5 years old, i dont think that will help …

Can we see a screenshot of these please…

Start

i just also noticed, the game doesnt know EU language … i am from CZ, so letters like ě, š, č etc … its weird markings …
keyboard input is in czech … obviously, cuz i can write fine outside the game … just inside the game … .

short and long format cannot be changed and below you can see right now, its 2PM, 14 hours, computer shows 14 hours, not 2PM, but game shows 2PM and my keyboard doesnt work in-game
any idea? I bet its related

yep, now its back again, its really bad not to have that option to choose, at least that is simple for average programmer … but ok i will not use clock in game. My system is on 24 hr clock and in game is that pm and am stuff…
