I have now spent $4.99!
I was not sure I would play enough to finish the Battlepass, but I did. Ended at Para 40 ish with a BB level of 45. That meant I had earned the cosmetics so went ahead and spent $4.99 the other day for those (the cheap BP level).
Pretty happy with it. I feel I certainly got $5 worth of entertainment out of it and the cosmetic set is really pretty.
I might do that again. Play the season, see where I end up, and if I want the cosmetic set, throw $5 at it. Wish they were available on all chars but is is only for one 
Wowhead has the new armor graphics up for each class and each gender. Looks best on Wizard and Necro to me.
Still not spending anything on the P2W parts. Casual me does not play that end game stuff anyway, and I don’t approve of that monetization level.
