How many levels did you gain with your ethereal items this season. I am not a greater rift fisher and I do not care about the cheater boards so it was difficult for me to tell, maybe 10 solo and 25 in a good group for me.
I personally don’t care about another season. They can’t even update a 20 year old game correctly it seems. I have been more amused by watching paint dry… no joke.
Actually am worried by the thought of next season.
My casual speed runs went from GR90 to GR120. Top is 150 (4m). Haven’t really pushed hard solo yet but I expect to be top 100 in at least 3 or 4 overall class lists. Best before was necro 141 with bonespear but that isn’t a usable build anymore which makes me very sad. How fun would that have been? lol
You guys have so much patience lol. Just getting from GR70 to 75 was a no go for me… 70 is enough! I didn’t even do it on all chars b4 my pc went bang. Mind you… GR1 was basically the same as 70 with gear. Full ancient… gasp

Hard to answer since the last season I actually put in some time was season 6. Mostly just done season journey since then up until this season. Beat my personal best from NS with 15 though, although I never tried to climb on NS either.
my top wiz went from a gr127 to a gr140, and in group, I think I’ve done 148, early in the season doing gem ups. haven’t actually ever finished a 150 in time.
I’m on some non Meta set/builds in the leaderboards. With an Hybrid Mote EQ + Seismic Slam build. With this build I’m at GR 110 close to finish a GR115 my Goal is a GR 120+ after I augmented my gear and have found the best stats. Natalyas Leaderboad with a RoV - Anathema build. Was running 115 Speeds with the amazing GoD set. Was at the start of the Season always in the GoD Leaderboard but was kicked out of it. GR 133 is not enough. With fishing I could do a 135-136 at least. But I don’t fish.
So far, I’ve done a GR129 on my seasonal WW/Rend Barb, which is one less than my non-seasonal WW/Rend Barb, but done with around 2500 less paragon. I’ve been levelling a load of gems and adding paragon levels since the GR129, so I’ll try for GR130 (and higher) soon.
I played GoD, so it was about what I did before they nerfed it hard, so pretty much a push for me.
You are making the assumption they won’t replace this season’s theme with another power creep theme.
Probably not as easy to use as this season. Literally just do what you usually do but at a higher level. More than one season has been playing around a season buff which required you to be much more proactive to get full use of it.
Agreed. They will more than likely give us another power creep theme for S25 as has happened for most of the Seasonal Themes. The only thing that will be up in the air is how easy it is to use the Theme.
I actually enjoyed this theme more than the wonky kill massacre themes. It made the loot hunt fun again. The ones where you have to be conscious of your kill streaks were fun at the start, but then became a mental drain after a while.
yah i’m going to dumpster and delete 8 bnet accounts pretty soon if a miracle doesnt occur soon. I think i’ll give them till new years to right the ship or i will be perma gone and never even consider touching anything actiblizzard has anything to do with.

I didn’t put much effort into my Firebird’s push in seasons, it was mostly just a vehicle to farm paragon and gems for pushing the other sets.
The expected GR gain for most ethereals is something like 5-10 GRs. Closer to 5 GRs for the 100% bonus ethereals without any other special effects, and as much as 10+ GRs for the ethereals with bigger bonuses.
Excluding Firebird’s, I saw a 6-8 GR gain across the other 5 wizard sets. That’s pretty consistent with the expected gain for the 100% ethereal bonus (~+5 GRs) and the Wizardspike Stricken-like stacking damage effect (maybe a ~1-2 GR gain).
I didn’t even try anything, because I couldn’t care less. The theme is boring and unrewarding. I’m sorry to be this blunt, but I really detest the theme this time. It might have been different if I could keep at least one ethereal item, even if it was just a keepsake. But I can’t, so I pretty much stopped after I got Guardian and the transmogs unlocked. This theme just depends on luck with eth drops and if you, like me, get useless crap all time, you call it quits. No use in wasting time on something that doesn’t last.
In that regard this season is like every other, the only difference is that the season buff is a temporary item.
Previous season I played was season 22. I got around 1 350 paragon with my bone spear necro, was 3 minute speed farming around 105’s and got to GR130 (could have done more if I did fishing). I had pretty good gear too.
This season with like half the time played I am at 1 250 and have done a 125 (with time to spare on a crap map) and can speed farm 111’s. With nothing close to optimized gear. I have 10 or 11 ancients, not even all of them are augmented and there are big things missing like no elemental damage on my amulet. Ethereals and Inna’s is damn strong.
True, but there’s a difference compared to the other themes. This time the benefit is pretty much inexistant unless you get said temporary item to drop. It doesn’t only need to drop for you, it has to drop with the correct affixes (powers in this case) or you can salvage it right away. I only play a couple of hours these days, and I won’t waste them on farming stuff I can’t even keep.
Seems to me, they could have removed ethereals and just started everyone out with 2000 paragon and it would have been just about the same, as far as where everyone is right now. Those ethereals really pushed lower paragon players to levels way over the norm, but the higher paragon you get, the less the advantage.
