Well Blizzard, I knew you no longer really care about your D3 Player Base, by your silence, but this truly confirms it.
All I can say is thanks & Merry Christmas to you too.
A game that 1) the devs deliberately avoided putting holiday themes into for almost its whole life, but relented once, and 2) is leaving development in a matter of weeks.
tbf to D3, Diablo 4 isnt even in the top 100 most watched twitch games. Nobody cares or plays D4. And yes, D2R has been beating D4 in views for months now.
People are weird sometimes… why is silence on this topic even considered a bad thing? Not like they were flooded with forum posts social media etc about it and like you said, there has only been one before.
If anything the January Diablo 1 one (Always forget the name) is like the de facto D3 holiday event. Without rewards of course.
No reason they couldn’t have just redone the Holiday Gifts in the same way that WoW has repeated holiday events.
Yesterday I wanted to do some non-season Bounties: “0 players”. I couldn’t even find 3 guys to form a party across EU. It seems that very few people are still playing D3. Making special events is warranted when your game is “alive”, not when it’s basically DEAD.
The problem is non season, it’s all about 150 speeds in NS and dedicated playerbases.
On NS only bots run bounties. The game itself is very much alive BUT… Blizzard killed current season before it even started so yeah… nobody plays it right now. People are waiting for new season to come. And usually seasons is where the action is.
