Hero Editor / Save Editing

Ok just a question, Is save editing / hero edit aloud using that save editor program DIIIROS.SaveEdit,
Just for single player use or is it frowned upon as I would like to test some stuff like you could on D2LOD with the hero editor! Please let me know

On PC the use of editors is impossible since saves are stored on the servers. Which is fortunate.

On consoles save editing is possible but extremely loathed practise.

Thanks for the reply, Thought so well that’s good no one can break diablo3 on pc then  and yea some random gave me some moded stuff on the xbox and just made the game different thought would be cool to test what you can do on the pc as slight differences on the pc vs console version. :+1:

There is no problem using Hero Editor for D2.

It can only be used for offline mode.

I don’t think anyone cares if you edit your single player file.

D3 is not a singleplayer game.

unless you do keys with a group, this is a single player game.

Just because one can play solo doesn’t make D3 a singleplayer game.

Yes, actually, yes. If you can do everything singleplayer, then it’s a singleplayer game.

Most people in console play single-player.

If one can bring anything from solo play to multiplayer, it’s not a singleplayer.

Sure, most console players and such play solo exclusively. Nothing however stops them from joining multiplayer at any time they want. Because of that D3 is not a singleplayer game.

again, a game is what you make it. It doesn’t bother me that other people have hacked stuff. Why should it; it’s their gameplay and their enjoyment. If I don’t want to play with them, I don’t have to.

Looking down on other people for enjoying the game a different way just makes you petty.

You’re borderline advocating cheating.

You should care if others have hacked items or such. D3 is competetive game. Yes, leaderboards are a form of competition. The problem is that you think the people with hacked stuff stay inside their own sandboxes. In reality they don’t. They actually ruin the competition on consoles for other players who want compete clean.

I’m advocating “do whatever you want as long as it doesn’t affect other people.”
It’s a very simple philosophy.

What you fail to see is that if you use editors in D3, it will affect other people. It doesn’t matter at all if you play 100% solo.

It is because D3 is not a singleplayer game.

no it doesn’t.

yes it is.

I don’t use them, and other people using editors doesn’t affect me in the slightest. So…

What is your point when there is absolutely no way to use a Hero Editor in D3?

Yes it is. Ifnit wasn’t I wouldn’t have been able to log thousands of hours playing solo.

Why not? I’m sure there are folks who never grouped . Even though they are forced to go online, you can sill ignore muli player. There are no raids or group dungeons where you can’t experience the content unless you group.
