I have ~ 160k thorns damage, at present, on my Necro
I just got a new primal squirt’s.
With this, I have the option of either adding another 20% physical damage, or 9500 more thorns.
If I go with the + thorns on new squirt’s, my total thorns will be ~ 170k
If I go with the physical damage, will it be 160k x 1.2 = 192k ?
Which one would get the higher net thorns damage?
Hey, any input on this? I tried checking d3planner, but it won’t give me a clear answer. I searched for some older threads on these forums, but I couldn’t find anything specifically for prioritizing thorns over physical % or vice versa.
Any help would be appreciated!
Crude maths to give you some idea:
170k/160k = 6.25%
depending on you phy element. Typical thorns runs 100% phys, so assuming you have 80% already and this 20% is your 5th so 2.0/1.8 = 11.11%
11.11% vs 6.25% or from another perspective, 160k*1.11 = 177.6k thorns > 169.5k thorns.
What is your current and projected phy% ? what is your currect and projected thorns amount?

My current physical damage % is 52%
If I do this amulet swap, I will lose 6.3k thorns and gain 20% physical
