Hellfire ring? am i stupid?

need to know how to acquire the ring, can’t seem to get the necessary reqs

Recipe for the ring is purchased from Squirt the peddler in Act II. She’s situated between the blacksmith and the cube and is short. There’s two recipes. You want the 5 million gold one. The other one was the old vanilla recipe. I have no idea if it’s even still craftable.

To add to that, you can buy that recipe (Hellfire Ring for 5mil) only if your character is level 70, as opposed to Hellfire Amulet, which is available to buy from level 1.

Level 1 Character cannot buy Design: Hellfire Ring for 5 million Gold. It is NOT available until you reach Level 70.

Note: The Design: Hellfire Ring for 2 million Gold is for those with Diablo III  only. Reaper of Souls  requires the Design: Hellfire Ring for 5 million Gold.

Acquiring “Reqs” (Hellfire Mats)

First, you must collect Infernal Machines. You get these from Keywardens. The Keywardens DO NOT appear until Torment I (T1) Game Difficulty. And, even then, they only have a 50% chance to drop a Machine. They won’t drop Machines at 100% until you reach Torment IV (T4). At Torment XVI (T16) they have a 100% chance to drop 3 Machines with a 25% chance to drop a 4th.

You’ll find Keywardens in:

  • Act I, Fields of Misery
  • Act II, Dahlgur Oasis
  • Act III, Stonefort
  • Act IV, Gardens of Hope, 2nd Tier

Each Machine will open a Portal to a Realm where you can fight Uber Bosses. When you’ve killed all the Bosses in a Realm, pick up the loot, including the Hellfire Mats. You will need the Hellfire Mats from ALL four Realms to craft Hellfire Jewelry.

Hellfire Amulets require Hellfire Mats, Gold AND Forgotten Souls. Hellfire Rings DO NOT require Forgotten Souls.

When you’re ready to acquire your Hellfire Mats:

  • Go to Act I, New Tristram.
  • Head towards the Healer at the top of the screen.
  • Attack the door of the shack behind him.
  • Enter the Heretic’s Abode.

It is here that you will right-click on a Machine in your Inventory to open a Portal to one of the Realms. Enter the Portal, kill the Uber Bosses and pick up the Hellfire Mats. You will need to do this for all four Realms.

  1. Realm of Regret
  2. Realm of Putridness
  3. Realm of Terror
  4. Realm of Fright

Yes, it is still possible to craft the old Hellfire ring… one only needs to gather the old crafting mats and teach the recipe to the Jeweller.
