Having just one crafted primal is a mistake

It’s fine as long as you use crafted primals in set items from two different sets - there will never be a situation where you try to equip them both. The problem is that it is given the opportunity to forge a primal weapon or ring. The player may initially think that he will not need it in another set, but then it turns out not to be the case, in the end he will depend on the presence of the ring and the amulet, but they will mutually exclude each other. Compiling a set of items for one character will turn into a real headache. I already experienced it in season 27, because. I played with all sets, I had to have 2 similar rings (one consecrated, the other ancient). It will be a nightmare when this kind of confusion crosses over from the season to the base game.

Personally, I suggest increasing the resource requirement for crafting primal, but allowing all of them to be worn. No need to complicate things and break what works.

There is so much obvious power creep with this new thingy anyway, that I don’t even see why letting players do this with unlimited Primals is an issue. Especially in season when they aren’t likely to drop a ton of them in the first few weeks.

When I first heard of the recipe, I thought it was “Gamble 2 primals for one random one” which made more sense to me than “Turn a legendary into a primal by dusting 2 others”. With how it is now, you know you’re getting a primal of a certain piece. That’s way OP in my mind and yes, should be limited to one … if that. If you’d waste 2 junk primals for 1 random primal (very likely also junk), THEN the limit of 1 might be a bit tight.

One is enough. No need to be able to craft more primals. Some restrictions just keep the game healthy.

So I just posted about how I am so ready for S28 to just be the Season of Over Powered Effects. But the crafted Primals got me in 2 minds, like on one side I want to have as many as I can afford to make, I want to go nuts. But also one crafted primal is amazing still and it keeps primals special.

But then normally you get crappy primals drop naturally so why not be able to turn them into useful ones?

But then it diminishes the excitement a little and the anticipation of revealing what what elusive red beam is.

And round and round I go…

No no no. If you get one RANDOM primal that would mean you give 2 trash primals to get 1 trash primal. So you get 2 times more mad and demotivated. More of that! Knowing this, player will add 1 more trash primal to gamble again! And get 1 more trash primal one more time. The level of rage and hate in D3 will be undescribable.

If there is idea of giving people crafting the primals then the whole sense is letting them control this! Or just lets trash this idea because it only doubles the problem. What I suggest is make the recourse price higher (for example 5 for 1) but you get what you wanted and you don’t have ridiculous limitations.

The problem is not about enough or not. Even having no primals is enough actually. The problem is - they will interfere in some builds making players have double things to make some builds work. I faced this problem already in S27 because I made Royal ring a saint one and then couldn’t use it in another set. That was kinda my mistake but how many people like me will have the same?

The sense of this beam is giving you smth good. When you find some garbage under this you get disappointed and the entire excitement brakes. A new system must not serve the idea of this disappointment.

It is enough to have 1 primal per build which you get for free. Even if you increased the recipe and then you could do everything Primal, enough players would still be able to get 13 items in Primal and have 1 build full Primal. Where then is the attraction to continue farming and then the ranking list would also reward fewer games

Having full primal set is smth that many people have on non-season and that is totally fine. I as well think that having same in the season is may be too much… though you worked for it, spent a lot of time, so arguable. But making the price higher must make this barely doable inside 1 season. It’s more about helping us to collect for the base account as a honor.

Oh yeah I don’t disagree, another of the reasons why I really am on the fence for the crafting primal debate. I really can see the pro’s and con’s of both sides.

I think I personally would prefer just to have one crafted primal, but that isn’t because its over powered, just because one will be more obtainable (especially with needed them for potion seals too) and I think I would be constantly gutted I didn’t have mats for more if I was able to have as many as I wanted. Fear of missing out I guess lol.
