I took a season break from D3, Just started back up yesterday. It seems that no matter what I do loot does not appear to be happening at all… I have hassled my way through level 7 with not a single weapon, armor, or anything useful being dropped. I thought it was my character, so I deleted and started a new one. Same thing… Radiant chest dropped a few handfuls of gold. even the harder enemies are dropping only handfuls of gold… not even enough to purchase from vendors. Did the loot change and they make D3 impossible to play? I have tried joining public games and it just counts down until it creates a game for me… Am I missing something?

There is nothing wrong with your lack of drops. Drop rate is tied to difficulty level. Also, certain item classes, like jewelry and shoulders, don’t start to drop until you reach a certain level, so item drops can be scarce early on.
No problem, I guess sticking with default weapon and no drops except for a few hundred gold just makes the game a little more interesting again. I did post this in the general forum and hopefully you flagged this to get it removed. I’ll do the same.
