Hatred regeneration with GoD build

I am still experimenting with the Yangs Crimson/GoD build. I can do a GR 100 with it in like 7 minutes. I put F+R back in, which means I lose the Elusive Ring from the cube, but the Crimson damage reduction is keeping me alive without it. It is a good alternative for me, at least until I find a workable ancient Dawn.

If you run full GoD without Captain Crimson, you can run elusive in your cube, use Smoke Screen to proc it with Special Recipe rune and run Preparation - Focused Mind and you can spam Smoke Screen and have 100% uptime on Elusive. Only disadvantage is mobs sometimes won’t follow you if you have SS active.

Also helps to have discipline as a secondary on weapon/quiver/cloak if you go that route. It’s not mandatory, just nice to have.

Anyone try Stone Gauntlets to lower att speed to conserve hatred?

That doesn’t work due to Vengeance removing the attack and movement speed penalty. Furthermore, having the penalty active would be terrible for movement and also damage since you would be well below the internal cooldown for spawning primaries with Strafe (less Strafe projectiles = less primaries generated = less damage).

thanks! …

At the levels you’re conserving hatred (T16/up to GR90 for speed-farming), you can select passives like Night Stalker, Blood Vengeance and Archery (if you’re dual wielding and desperate!) over attacking passives or even Awareness. Far easier than losing a cube slot to the gloves (or wearing RoRG).

On T16, I use a Yang’s Recurve for the 40%+ RCR. T16 doesn’t need 100% uptime on Vengeance (Seethe) either so I dropped Dawn for Echoing Fury. I don’t have any RCR on anything but the Yang’s but it seems to work just fine. I would be interested to hear if anyone runs T16 without Vengeance at all? I’ve contemplated it but so far have left it there out of laziness.

The problem with not running Vengeance is you lose the CC immunity, so if you run into a mob with say Lightning Storm and Nightmare, or the affix that throws a force cage or knockback, they’ll mess you up and could wind up losing time in Rifts.

Not a huge problem if you’re killing fast enough but it does make some mobs a nuisance.

It really hasn’t been a problem without Dawn. I’ve still got CDR on most pieces and I’m very occasionally feared but I think you’re vastly overstating the perils of losing anything more than a few seconds over the span of a 100 bounties. I don’t have any CC reduction anywhere either.

What I would replace Vengeance with is another matter… Companion/Ferrets or FoK/Bladed Armour is about it for options. Not really worth it.

FWIW, this is my current bounty build (SSF so doesn’t need to hit too hard).
