I’m just finishing up the season journey but there’s nothing in particular that I really want to spend Haedrig’s gift on so all 3 caches are just sitting in my stash.
If I leave them until the end of season…
A) will they still be in my end-of-season mail?
B) what will I get from them if I do open them NS?
A) They’ll get sent to your non-seasonal email just like everything else in the stash.
B) You’ll get the associated set for whichever class opens them, i.e. if you’d earned them with a Demon Hunter, but opened them with a Barbarian, you’d get the set items for S25 for Barbarians.

So… what if I leave them in my stash for several seasons? Are they timestamped for the season they’re relevant to or will it just rollover to whatever seasonal flavour they are?
My curiosity is piqued.
Got a set in the mail at end of last season, and as it’s written on the bags what set they give what class I assume that’s locked in at acquirement.
I’m not sure what’s the point on saving haedrig’s gift? They are usually low level set pieces and you can farm them with little effort, especially in non-season.
Can’t think of one. Don’t know why I got a set in the mail either, I did use the one I got during the season.
There is no point in using it either if it is a crap set and you are better off with LoD to bootstrap into the build you actually want to use. So it can get left over.
I didn’t save it, I just happened to gear up my demon hunter without needing it so it’s sitting there doing nothing. I had help from a friend gearing up and GoD and Marauder’s gear fell into my lap. There was no intent to not use it… it just turned into a curiosity that I was interested in getting an answer for. (Thanks, Meteorblade!)
I’m a CR away from finishing season journey… just 9 more items to cube and something to reforge. (14 mats). I could do a set of pub bounties but it’s Christmas and the bathroom isn’t going to tile itself. =) I’ll pop back after New Year’s some time and do a challenge rift.
Not sure what will happen to the bags themselves since they are a season item? Maybe they are automatically opened when season is over? In any case you have 30 days to claim them from the mail after season is over.
They are not, you get the bag in the mail.
