Haedrig was good to me today: Crimson's Thrust

I’ve had poor luck, again this Season, finding decent gear for my Character build. Still, I keep farming, inching my way forward.

It seems like this Season Death’s Breaths and Forgotten Souls are plentiful. This Season I’m having trouble keeping up my other Crafting Mats: Reusable Parts, Arcane Dust and Veiled Crystals. I think this is the first Season I’ve begun clicking every Weapon and Armor Rack I find. And I’ve been using Kanai’s Cube to convert Mats regularly. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m currently playing my female Demon Hunter, Zoey. I’m playing her as a modified version of the UE/CCT Multishot build.

Today I was trying to craft her a new, hopefully better, pair of Captain Crimson’s Thrust Pants. On the very last roll, when I ran out of Veiled Crystals, Haedrig cut her a Primal pair.

Not the best choice of Properties, but I can fix at least one of them.

You will still get a better ancient pair, salvage and keep crafting.

What do you want on pants ideally? Vit and all res?

UE6/CC3 pants stats are kind of meh. Dex, Vit, and something that makes some sense for your build on the third main stat.

Yeah. Pretty much.

  • Primary
    • Dexterity
    • Vitality
    • Resist All
  • Secondary
    • Life after Kill

I guess they didn’t roll so bad after all. I would’ve rather had Vitality for Armor, but it’ll do. I ended up enchanting Entangling Shot for Evasive Fire. So far, so good.

Thanks man. I was curious/didn’t know. Any reason you wouldn’t take dex, armor, allres over dex, vit, allres? Is the vit pretty important?

You’re not going to be killing anything with evasive fire. It’s just there for f&r proc. I’d go for vit.

Actually, they’re all good for a Demon Hunter. I usually take Vitality and Resist All before Armor and Resist All. But, that’s just me.

Most build guides for the Patch 2.6.6 UE build list the priority of Properties for Pants in this order:

  1. Dexterity
  2. 2 Sockets
  3. Vitality
  4. Resist All
  5. Evasive Fire

I’m currently running Greater Rifts at 80 to 83 with 400k to 500k Life. And I prefer to get my Life between 600k and 800k or more, if possible.

I have to admit though: This Season 18, with Captain’s Crimson’s Trimmings and Squirt’s Necklace, my Demon Hunter seems to be much tougher than she has ever been in any previous Season.

I have to watch out for those monsters that throw Grenades though. They hurt! :grimacing: And that 50% extra Damage from Squirt’s sometimes will get me 1-shot dead. :skull_and_crossbones:

With Bastions of Will I constantly alternate Multishot/Evasive Fire.

Huh? What’s BoW? Is that Focus and Restraint?

Yes.

Ya well Evasive fire doesn’t do enough damage to kill anything, even if you use it frequently. You basically just use it to get the 50% damage buff to multishot and hatred.

Maybe you’re right. Maybe I’ll enchant the Evasive Fire to Vitality next time I have enough Veiled Crystals.

I can’t enchant Resist All on them.

And… done!

That put my Life up to 615,520.

Nice. I think mines like half that.

I would be pissed off if I got a primal like that :stuck_out_tongue:

Why is that? Did you look at the image in the OP?

I originally had a Crimson’s Belt and the Ancient Crimson’s Boots equipped. If you look at the image, there’s a Crimson’s Belt I just rolled at the bottom of my Inventory. And it rolled Ancient. If you look at Zoey’s Profile now, she’s currently got it equipped.

Since I had some Ancient Unhallowed Boots stashed that were better than her current Ancient Crimson’s Boots, I needed a different Crimson’s piece to make up for it. I crafted 7 Crimson’s Pants. And the 7th pair I crafted was the Primal pair in the image. Zoey is currently wearing those as well.

So, what’s to be pissed about? It’s not like it was my first Seasonal guaranteed drop that I have to wait until next Season to try again.

And when I read posts from players who craft or reforge hundreds or even thousands of times and not get a Primal item, I’m pleased with the results.

I call that: A Good Day!

imo a good primal one should be, dex, vit, all res as primary stats. I would probably salvage that one.
But grz on the primal anyway

Good on ya Perusoe…I’m in the same boat farming rifts for mats - do the CR and blow them all in about 2 minutes…

I’d be happy with those as well for now…you got months to find a better pair.

Thanks.

No worries. Crafting is much easier than farming.

Even though you have to farm for the currency to craft (Gold and Mats). But, any items can be salvaged for Mats. At least, when you’re crafting, you know exactly what you’re getting. It’s just a matter of getting the right one. :+1:

To be honest, I don’t know how they could be much better, except for the Armor being Resist All. And right now, my Demon Hunter’s Resistances are all above 1,000. And that’s more than she usually has.

Yep, that’s what happens when you make the Blacksmith relevant again. Oooh Jeweler, we need to talk about your Hellfire situation again…

Got a link to the UE/CCT build? I would assume that it requires either using belt/boots + RoRG or going 4-piece on the UE side because of the lack of armor slots for UE outside of the ones used for CCT.
