I’ve had poor luck, again this Season, finding decent gear for my Character build. Still, I keep farming, inching my way forward.
It seems like this Season Death’s Breaths and Forgotten Souls are plentiful. This Season I’m having trouble keeping up my other Crafting Mats: Reusable Parts, Arcane Dust and Veiled Crystals. I think this is the first Season I’ve begun clicking every Weapon and Armor Rack I find. And I’ve been using Kanai’s Cube to convert Mats regularly.
I’m currently playing my female Demon Hunter, Zoey. I’m playing her as a modified version of the UE/CCT Multishot build.
Today I was trying to craft her a new, hopefully better, pair of Captain Crimson’s Thrust Pants. On the very last roll, when I ran out of Veiled Crystals, Haedrig cut her a Primal pair.
Not the best choice of Properties, but I can fix at least one of them.
I guess they didn’t roll so bad after all. I would’ve rather had Vitality for Armor, but it’ll do. I ended up enchanting Entangling Shot for Evasive Fire. So far, so good.
Actually, they’re all good for a Demon Hunter. I usually take Vitality and Resist All before Armor and Resist All. But, that’s just me.
Most build guides for the Patch 2.6.6 UE build list the priority of Properties for Pants in this order:
Dexterity
2 Sockets
Vitality
Resist All
Evasive Fire
I’m currently running Greater Rifts at 80 to 83 with 400k to 500k Life. And I prefer to get my Life between 600k and 800k or more, if possible.
I have to admit though: This Season 18, with Captain’s Crimson’s Trimmings and Squirt’s Necklace, my Demon Hunter seems to be much tougher than she has ever been in any previous Season.
I have to watch out for those monsters that throw Grenades though. They hurt! And that 50% extra Damage from Squirt’s sometimes will get me 1-shot dead.
With Bastions of Will I constantly alternate Multishot/Evasive Fire.
Ya well Evasive fire doesn’t do enough damage to kill anything, even if you use it frequently. You basically just use it to get the 50% damage buff to multishot and hatred.
I originally had a Crimson’s Belt and the Ancient Crimson’s Boots equipped. If you look at the image, there’s a Crimson’s Belt I just rolled at the bottom of my Inventory. And it rolled Ancient. If you look at Zoey’s Profile now, she’s currently got it equipped.
Since I had some Ancient Unhallowed Boots stashed that were better than her current Ancient Crimson’s Boots, I needed a different Crimson’s piece to make up for it. I crafted 7 Crimson’s Pants. And the 7th pair I crafted was the Primal pair in the image. Zoey is currently wearing those as well.
So, what’s to be pissed about? It’s not like it was my first Seasonal guaranteed drop that I have to wait until next Season to try again.
And when I read posts from players who craft or reforge hundreds or even thousands of times and not get a Primal item, I’m pleased with the results.
Even though you have to farm for the currency to craft (Gold and Mats). But, any items can be salvaged for Mats. At least, when you’re crafting, you know exactly what you’re getting. It’s just a matter of getting the right one.
To be honest, I don’t know how they could be much better, except for the Armor being Resist All. And right now, my Demon Hunter’s Resistances are all above 1,000. And that’s more than she usually has.
Got a link to the UE/CCT build? I would assume that it requires either using belt/boots + RoRG or going 4-piece on the UE side because of the lack of armor slots for UE outside of the ones used for CCT.
