[Guide] Zodiac Rend (Season 20)

Good luck replacing that. That is one of my non perfect items that I am also looking for. I am only missing 1% rend but I rolled off the strength. Now I want one like yours that doesn’t have resist so I max my damage.

Grats!!!

I just cried a little. 147 4 corner fester with hulks/transformers and a speed spawned at the end of the map.

Bummer, I hate when that happens. How much progression did you have at that point? And did you check what the next level was?

around 35% when I checked for the pylon. I was about 15% behind the progression bar. The great part looking forward is tranformer/hulk trash is not ideal for the majority of clears since we have lower uptime on rampage but It went ok for my first time giving 147 a try. It would have had 100% one map clear potential if I had spawned and early pylon. All but one elite was yellow. Next map was garbage barracks so I likely needed close to a 100% first map. This makes me think by next era 150s will very much be in range.

For the Zodiac Rend Build using Bul-Kathos pair, should I be using the rings CoE, Ring of the Zodiac, and BoM? (one used in cube, two on character). Only CoE has a socket, so how can I use 3 gems concurrently?

One neck and two rings are the only place legendary gems will work. You need to roll a socket if yours don’t have one.

Well, it’s been a while since I posted one of these…

So, that funky ethereal is worth around 2195 paragon. The seasonal GR130 was a Battlefields as map 1, decent mobs, mediocre pylons. 2nd and 3rd floors were bad, but was fairly ahead due to the Battlefield. Didn’t have a conduit in the run. So, I reckon with decent 2nd map and a conduit, I’ve probably got a GR131 or GR132 in there somewhere.

The GR130 took under a dozen keys and I’ve got another 140 or so keys left.
We’ll see if I get a GR131 before I grind my teeth to dust.

A good condi is huge and you didn’t even have a bad one. You got at least 135 in you. Basically when you get into fishing territory a condi is mandatory. Still great you beat your non season best without a condi and any fishing.

Well, this is a brand new personal best for me…

Decent conduit on one of the maps, with four elite packs, and Hamelin as the Guardian.
Still three minutes plus on the timer, so 132 is tomorrow’s target.
Took under a dozen keys to get this one done.

Be careful and don’t tell anyone condi is a little OP.

Grats dude!!!

I need another Ramaladni’s Primaliser…

Might still be worth rolling the STR to CHD.

A little late to the party here, but, congrats on the clear, MB!

Question: have you tried running the build dual-wielding this season? I noticed that the No. 2 clear on the hardcore board (145) is running this setup. It definitely won’t do quite as much damage as carrying Grandfather, but the play will be a lot closer to the standard non-season version, Doombringer will help a lot with toughness and healing, plus you’ll cool down your skills faster via Zodiac procs.

Just a thought on something you might want to try, if you’re in the mood.

Just copied from EU to PTR, so I got all that sweet, sweet seasonal gear over to my non-seasonal WW/Rend Barb. The combined gear meant I lost a little STR but I also went from 74% AD to 142% AD. Might be interesting to see what a difference that makes.

So without any adjustment for the second week of PTR, Essence of anguish and Sliver of terror look like the best gems for WWrend. Crimson/IP benefits huge from all the stacked cdr. Rank 1 on the PTR already did a 141 without stomp or spear. Now we need to wait and see if they make adjustments.

Ugh. Updating the guide to take all these friggin gems into account is gonna be a nightmare.

You are right. I don’t think we will know the end build for awhile. With all the extra stats and stacked cdr combined with 2-3 viable special powers on both gems I talked about above. With someone clearing 141 sub 2k paragon without using any of the known bugs in basically an odd ball speed build I already plan to farm paragon in season. Comparing this to my non season 8.5k barb. I can’t even think about clearing a 141 without spear or stomp so it is clearly far more powerful and worth my time to give season a go.

I know that I will be playing this spec for season 25. If I have any questions during the season concerning the changes to the build due to the new soul shards I will come here and ask my questions. Confident that someone, whether it is you are not will answer them all in a way that will be most helpful.

Also wanted to not only thank you for all of the work you have done on this guide but to tell you that I still say you are one fine person.

Oh, there’s no way this hits live as-is. I just did a GR140 solo on an Impale DH with 1217 paragon. I could farm 130s all day long with no danger of failing a run at that power.

Were you using the two weapon gem bug? The wwrend rank 1 clear wasn’t using any known bugs so I guess we will need to wait and see. At current power levels sub 2k is ahead of my non season 8.5k barb in both push and speeds.

This season does look tempting. Might be another easy season to farm 150 gems.
