No that was in season when Im baby paragon. LOL I was running as high as 1.1 mill just to stay alive. In non season I have run no vit since I switched to core.

Ah, that makes sense. It didn’t seem right to me that with your paragon, you’d need 1 mil life to survive Blighter… now it makes sense!
We need to all start the barb changes hype again. We are current sitting as the 4th best solo class but the gap between 3rd and 4th is big.
Anyone for Skull grasp changes?
IK Hota needs a huge buff. This would help charge as well in most cases.

At 10k paragon, I think the current slate of actual/estimated clears is:
Rend: 149
Leapquake: 145
Frenzy: 144 (estimate)
Slam: 142 (estimate)
IK / LOD / R6 HOTA: 140 (estimate)
Charge: 137 (estimate)
So, to match Rend, we’d need +4 for Leap, +5 for Frenzy, +7 for Slam, +9 for HOTAs, and + 12 for Charge.
Also, Raekor just needs to be rebuilt. We really don’t need 3 HOTA builds. I think both you and Free had previously suggested making it Boulder Toss centric, which seems like a good idea to me. Easiest way to do that is just make 6-piece bonus work only on Ancient Spear, while also stripping AS out of the MOTE6 bonus (nobody uses it there anymore, anyway). And then just buff the Spear items, like Skular’s and 300th.
Not sure what we’d be looking for at the top end, to make Rend closer to top Necro / Wiz / Crusader builds… I have my suspicions that a bunch of those builds will get nerfed next patch.
I guess my question is: do we really want to push Rend up into “the nerf zone”? Like, would it feel worthwhile to folks if Rend could clear 150 @ 7k paragon for 1 era, then gets nerfed to where it can only do 144 @ 10k paragon? (i.e. if it follows the route of GoD DH)
Personally, I’ve really got no opinion on the matter. How do other folks feel?

Looks about right. One can dream about their main build/class becoming OP without fear of nerfs though.
Lol, right, well, I’m happy to write up a list of requested changes and stick it in GD (or, just add a new post to the last buff thread Free and I had going there). But, do we want to put something in there like “please make Rend as OP as Bone Spear”… or, y’know… not do that?
I guess my gut says: don’t rock the boat with Rend. We could end up on top at some point even without buffs, if other top builds get nerfed. But, like I said, it doesn’t matter much to me personally, so I’d just like to hear what other folks around here, you included, would prefer.

Some sets and items could use a damage bump to better compete and the suggestions from the patch are still valid.

I have to agree with rage here about rocking the boat. Sure, it would be great if we’re top build, but that only brings more attention from the keyboard warriors, which will eventually make it’s way up to the devs to bring on the nerf hammer and we go back to ground zero, or even worse off.
I’ll take a modest buff to Lamentation back to 200% and call it great.

Wasn’t keeping track since it was spread out over a month. Ive been putting 10-15 keys here and there each weekend randomly. Id say maybe 200. Some of those keys also went towards 144 so who knows.

I don’t think that he’s letting me and kav beat him but rather I think maybe he’s finally farming some paragon. Us 3 are kinda motivating each other. I talk to Kav in game frequently. We are are all 2-3 levels from rank 2 NA or top 20 in the world. Safe to say the gap between us and them 10k+ barbs is closing fast. Id love to see us 3 fight for rank one some time in the future.

I do want to thank you for all your contributions to the Barbarian Forum over the years and good luck with your next endeavors.

I personally thank for this guide and wanted to tell you something about me. What you are doing, passing the torch to someone else to take over for you reminds me of what happened to me in another forum for a different game.
The first online only game that I played was an MMO superhero game called City of Heroes. I started learning a lot about the game. I got good at learning how to make and use influence (gold) wisely. I used the bits and pieces that were already on the forums. I had thoroughly tested them and they worked.
The problem was that there was no one place for that info. So I decided to pull it all together in one place along with some tips that I had learned on my own. The guide that I gave birth to was listed in the guide of guides on the forums.
Then when my circumstances changed that I could no longer keep it up to date I put out the call to anyone on the forums to take care of keeping it up to date. I was happy to find that I got my answer quickly and I didn’t regret it. That person kept it up to date till the game shutdown in 2012. I am sure that you are positive that both of those two can handle updating this guide and I look forward to what they do.
Even though I will miss seeing you here on the forums in this thread I am confident that either one or both of them can accomplish it.
